"Tiny rooms and even smaller (pod) bathroom. Noisy people outside on phone, singing and shouting. Didn't like the non-person electronic check in."

"Hotel is on an industrial estate, out of town, but convenient for us travelling from Spain to UK, as not far off motorway. Room small, compact bathroom. Basic but adequate, tidy etc. Positive surprise was how good the power shower was and a nice, quality, good priced, buffet breakfast. "

"Super interesting place to stay. New bathrooms. Very clean. Nice staff. Decent breakfast. Rooms have very basic amenities - not surprising given the place’s origin, but there isn’t even any soap in the bathrooms - no way to wash your hands except to use the mystery bottle of body wash (?) in the shower. The place isn’t expensive, so basic is fine, but maybe a few more amenities (like some soap, tissue, an extra towel or two) would be nice?"

"We were driving from the UK to the south west of France and wanted somewhere to stay en route. What a wonderful surprise this place was. The house is a big, beautiful, old (really old!) property with very generous rooms and lovely ensuite bathrooms. The hosts are very welcoming and generous. Saintes - who knows why that big town is not more widely known as a tourist destination. Incredible architecture, lovely river walks, greta places to eat. And the best bit - we have 2 large excitable dogs...

"A run down hotel with a lot needed to bring ip its standard. My tour across Spain and France has seen many fantastic laces to stay for less money. Even the free internet was broken in a town where O2 coverage was poor. Sadly i couldnt wait to leave. The photos give the wrong impression"
