Hot night in Saint Pourcain !
Our third visit over 15 years so knew roughly what to expect. We had hoped to dine outside but a storm forecast changed that. Had to sit inside on a hot 30 c night away from fresh air as both tables in front of windows were occupied by non-residents. So although we had booked table we sat and sweated. Staff unprofessional and my pave de Charolais was not rested so plate was swimming in blood. Although we had stated no petit dejeuner,we found it on the bill and were told that was what we had booked. The only high point of the visit was buying some excellent wine from Domaine Grosbot-Barbara.

De moins en moins bien au fil des ans...
Nous connaissons cet hôtel de longue date. et pouvons constater son évolution.. Par malchance, nous sommes arrivés un jour où le restaurant était fermé le soir (il semblerait que cela soit lié à une blessure du chef cuisinier), mais il en découlait une fermeture de l'accueil habituel, selon le protocole habituel. La réception se faisait dans le "pub" voisin, accolé à l'hôtel : réception sommaire, sans aide ni pour nous ni pour d'autres voyageurs plus encombrés de bagages. Heureusement, nous savions où était "l'annexe" contenant les chambres et nous y sommes allés par nos propres moyens. De même, nous avons dîné au "pub", assez correctement, ce qui a contrasté avec le petit déjeuner du matin, très sommaire et parcimonieux. Un contraste avec ce qu'était cet hôtel dans les décennies passées et les étoiles qu'il méritait à l'époque.

Cela fait 2 ans que je me rend dans cet a raison de 2 fois par pour me rendre sur la tombe de mon père. À chaque fois rien à redire sur cet établissement où le charme, le confort et la gentillesse du personnel est toujours au rdv.

Zurzeit unseres Aufenthaltes fand ein sehr großes, drei tägiges Fest statt. Als Gäste des Hotels befanden wir uns im Zentrum des Geschehens. An Schlaf war deshalb vor zwei Uhr nachts nicht zu denken. Das Angebot zum Frühstück ist gut. Wer abends dort essen möchte, den erwartet eine gehobene französische Küche. Eine Tischreservierung ist gewünscht. Der Hotelier spricht etwas Deutsch, was sehr hilfreich sein kann.

Très rustique et sommaire. Le monsieur de l’accueil a essayé de nous faire payer plus cher une des nuits, heureusement que nous avions la preuve de la réservation avec nous. C’était le seul hôtel dans le coin, donc nous n’avions pas vraiment choisi. Le personnel etait tout de même très gentil.

Chambre minuscule. Rénovation nécessaire, tout paraît "vieux" Pas d'ascenseur et escaliers très étroit. Dans la pièce du petit déjeuner les tables n'étaient pas débarrassée en grande partie ou alors non essuyées.... Nous étions dans les derniers.

J'ai fait une réservation sur votre site pour mes parents . Ils sont âgés ( plus de 80 ans) et cet hôtel était une étape sur un trajet de 800 kms. Quand mes parents sont arrivés, on leur a dit que la chambre qu'il devait utiliser était en travaux et on leur a conseillé un autre hôtel ..... Le responsable de l'hôtel a essayé de m'appeler quelques jours avant mais je n'ai pas décroché , j'étais occupée et je ne connaissais pas ce numéro. Par contre pas de mail, pas de message vocal .... Bref je déconseille cet hôtel.

Hôtel avec une forte odeur d'égout et de cuisine. Accueil correct. aucune insonorisation des chambre au point d'entendre les ronflements de la chambre voisine. Les sols font des bruits en permanence (pas, chauffage...) La literie est totalement à revoir (on ressent les ressorts du matelas). Peu de prises électriques.

Malgré une réservation effectuée à l’avance il est navrant de devoir se rendre au « bar du coin » pour prendre possession de la chambre car hôtel fermé. Et de surcroît aucun personnel de l’hotel pour accompagner ou aider pour les bagages
