Excellent overnight stop over
Posted 27 Jun 2024 on HotelsLarge comfy beds, rooms spacious and clean. Overall feel ‘Rustic’ Nice large and clean pool.
Staff / owner very pleasant and helpful.
Restaurant is excellent, and the food utterly delicious. Sat on terrace overlooking pool and distant countryside views, what more to want!
Would recommend.

Overnight stop
Posted 24 Jul 2019 on HotelsVery handy stop 1 mile from motorway exit.
Pool to cool off the family.
Good size of room and bathroom with walk in shower.
Food was exceptional for such a small place (@ 20 rooms). Set menu with 1/2/3 course options or à la carte.
Breakfast has good choice of self service options, including hot dishes.
Reception by owner and his wife as chef means they really are invested in your stay.
Add this place to good stops on a drive to/from Spain.

Pros: Restaurant, hotel staff, pool
Cons: nothing
Location: Really close to Brive, great stop over on route South
The hotel was great, clean comfortable, a nice pool to cool off in. Bu the best part was the restaurant. If you stay please eat in the restaurant. It was amazing. Reasonably priced, great selection of food and staff were accommodating and very helpful.

Worth stopping for the food alone
Posted 27 Feb 2016 on HotelsThis was the second time we stayed here as it is an ideal pull off on the motorway. Our room was not as spacious as before and had some bizarre flashing led lights around the bed head that came on with the room lights and could not be turned off independently. Shower good and huge bed comfortable. This is basically a motel with parking directly outside the room. The restaurant is superb and worth stopping for on its own!

You won't forget the French for Poppy!
Posted 6 Dec 2014 on HotelsThis was a superbe hotel. The initial impression is of a motel but the our room was so palatial it could hardly be considered as such. A large comfortable bed, settee( which could be made up as an extra bed for a family room) and large flat screen TV. Plenty of wardrobe space and coffee/tea making facilities. Open plan is taken to the extreme with the bathroom with its huge two person bath exposed to the living area! The whole is decorated very funkily ( you certainly won't forget the French for poppy!)
All the rooms are on ground level surrounding the open pool(covered for winter whilst we were there.
Reception staff were very helpful, as were those in the dining room. We had a good meal, with loads of little extras, although my rabbit was a little undercooked. The rest of the food we could not fault.
We only stayed for one night but it did strike us as an ideal place for exploring the surrounding area.

A good hotel, but could be better
Posted 29 Mar 2013An adequate hotel, with 'motel style' rooms. Our room was adequate and en-suite. There were no comfortable chairs, and this was a disadvantage as there was no guest lounge. A kettle and fridge were provided. However, only paper cups were provided, and this was unsatisfactory, and there were no drinking glasses either - only 'plastic glasses'. The food for dinner was good, and the various menus reasonable value, as extra supplementary courses were added, and there was an extensive wine list. However, the menus did not change from day to day, and this was a definite disadvantage if you were staying 3 days. The hotel is in the country, and there were no other places to eat within walking distance. Breakfast was continental in style but basic (cost 10 euros), and after the quality of the evening meal it was a let done. Staff were difficult to find at breakfast time, and this was frustrating. Overall it was a pleasant place to stay but with a few extra comforts could have been a lot better.
