Room 112 was too small not up to BW plus standard. The space around the bed was so small you couldn’t open the bathroom door and nowhere to put our small suitcase other than on the bed to open. Could no get the small provided safe to operate.

Lovely hotel for the price in a beautiful spot
Posted 4 Oct 2023 on HotelsA lovely spot right on the beach. Great room with a terrace. Ate at the hotel restaurant, as there aren’t many alternatives locally for dinner. Food was great.
Only small issue was we couldn’t use the breakfast dining room as we had a dog with us. It’s a buffet breakfast so completely understandable. Service was lovely. No complaints at all

This property is somewhat isolated on the coast of the English Channel. Only a few restaurants and no real shopping available.

Dear Guest, thank you for leaving a comment about your recent stay. We're sorry that your stay didn't quite live up to your expectations. Indeed, Saint-Marc sur mer is a small seaside resort with only a few restaurants and cafés/bars. However, we do have towns in the vicinity, such as Saint-Nazaire and Pornichet, where you can find stores. These towns can be reached by bus or car.There's also a shopping center just 5 minutes by car or 15 minutes by bus from the hotel. A pleasant stay in a lovely location.
Posted 19 Feb 2023 on HotelsWe had a lovely stay at the Hotel de la Plage, we had seen it feature in the film Mr Hulot's Holiday and it was lovely to stay in this beautiful location. Reception staff were very welcoming and helpful and breakfast was good. We ate in the on-site restaurant in the evening but it seemed it was not part of the hotel. Only thing I would mention is the lack of toiletries provided, you will need to take your own, there is a soap dispenser next to the wash basin and shower but difficult to reach if in the bath and no separate shampoo etc. Tea, coffee and water were provided in the room. We had a lovely balcony so were able to sit out with tea and enjoy the view over the beach and the sea. There is on site parking. Lovely walks along the coast. Don't miss the statue of Mr Hulot outside!

We had a terrace room which was amazing. The room itself was very small but the terrace made up for that. We had an excellent lunch at the restaurant downstairs.
