Nice location
Posted 5 Jul 2016This is a nice Chateau, staff welcolmed us warmly and accomodated us with a late lunch. What bothered me were the dogs jumping on us while we were eating outside on the terrace or in the dining room. Dogs roam around freely. I am allergic to dogs so having them so close triggers allergies and asthma. So the dogs' who live on the property (four) just come and go as they please. When i asked a waiter to call the do g away from me he smiled and did nothing. I didn't let this put me off because we were there celebrating an upcoming wedding. Just want to alert the traveler.

Good Hotel on Golf Course
Posted 31 May 2015 on HotelsA lovely hotel on a golf course. We stayed for 2 nights, and played the course. The restaurant is very pleasant, in an old converted barn. There was a jazz trio playing in the restaurant on one of the nights, and the meals were very good, and reasonably priced. The rooms are either in the clubhouse, or in a converted chateau (where our room was situated)

Golf hotel review
Posted 27 Aug 2014 on HotelsI liked the place we were staying, especially the quiet, green area. Food was OK, bed comfortable, only the internet was missing what was advertised in the first place. the range of the internet only reaches certain rooms and ours was not in there.

Location: hire a car, taxis are expensive
Stayed a few nights in august. Most staff were friendly, bar staff were a bit slow. Room very clean, nice views. Very relaxing

Golf de Saint Junien
Posted 8 Nov 2012 on HotelsHotel was hard to find, had to ring to ask directions. Lucky someone spoke English. Could not park outside of room block. Had to walk down a very dark, wet and muddy road to a very dark car park on Sunday, which is very dangerous. Need a connecting door to main part so we dont get wet when going to breakfast. Food is very good and so was the service. Picture shows a house which is not part of the hotel we stayed in, which is misleading.

Something Different, especially if you play golf!
Posted 1 Sep 2011Took a little while to find - definitely need GPS to locate. Some 26 km from Limoges, however handy to Oradour, where we were heading. Old world charm tastefully renovated with very comfortable rooms, all in a lovely peaceful country setting. The only drawback would be the staircase to the first floor. A little hard with heavy suitcases. Excellent service, excellent restaurant and great food and wine. Nothing was too much trouble and English speaking personnel made communication easy. Hotel is set in a golf course and predominantly caters for golfers, however if you want peace and quiet, then this is the place for you. Would need own transport or taxi to get there and could cost a few Euros for a cab.
