Just pulling out La Ferme des Mares, a charming establishment that provides everything except showers and an apology or discount for providing showers. Should you decide to visit, my advice is that you check the hot water before accepting the keys so that you don't have the unhappy experience of discovering an ice cold shower upon waking the next morning. And no one at the reception to assist you until 8:30 AM when you need to check out.

Very nicely appointed Normandy hotel in country.
Posted 16 Jun 2019 on HotelsDefinitely a hotel operation. Very professional. Big tastefully modernized Normandy farmstead. Great atmosphere. Hosts upper level tour groups, as well; so breakfast can be lively. Good rural location close to British Normandy DDay beaches, Bayeaux and the shore.

Only been here for a few hours so far but already managed to sample the pool, beach, shops and restaurants, as they’re all so close by! It’s really quiet, despite it being Saturday night and so close to town, but the layout of the apartments has been done so you can hear the sea and not much else. Looking forward to exploring more tomorrow.

It was an overnight stay, on the way to St.Jean -le-Thomas.
Very welcoming, helpful service - both of us disabled, so baggage taken from our car to our room when it was pouring with rain, was a good start.
Clean comfortable room with full facilities.
5 star evening meal.
We knew the village well. My wife's French cousin had lived there.

Posted 14 Mar 2016 on HotelsThe hotel was chosen due to location to intended business - far surpassing what was expected the hotel has character stamped upon it by the owners - a delight to stay in with peaceful & beautiful surroundings - friendly and helpful owner and staff - food was excellent - would be happy to visit again as a 'getaway'- a taste of Normandy I will never forget!
