"Horrendous experience! Host should be struck off your listings. The first thing he said to us was ‘hotel finished’, meaning we weren’t welcome. We assumed it was because we didn’t check in within the hour timeframe given, even though we rung the host to explain beforehand. "Reasonably decent hotel in the centre of Flers. The room was very basic but clean. En suite was ok. Breakfast was a basket of bread with croissants, juice and a tea or coffee. We used this as a stopover on the way to our ferry home. It is ideal for that purpose and we would stay here again."

"Very difficult to review a hotel that was closed. We arrived at 3 pm to check in. The gates were closed across the drive and there was no sign of life. Rang the hotel but surprise, surprise the number was out of service. Managed to find somewhere for 3 nights. Apparently we weren’t the first people this had happened to. Locals said it had been closed for a few months. If so, why did booking websites have it as being available? Still waiting for news of a refund 😤. "

"Single beds in large room were very firm and one creaked with every movement, We had no idea that building was either a gite or a B & B. When the latterthe kitchen/living area is shared with others. We left all our electronic and other things in this area while out the evening we arrived and were surprised to be joined by another guest in the morning! Host was helpful and courteous but as we speak very little French it was hard to chat.Property is beautifully presented and fitted out overall."
