Pas de cloison dans la douche, ouverte sans parois pour éviter que l’eau mouille tout

I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again!
Posted 1 Jul 2023 on HotelsI am cycling round Brittany and wanted a stop in this area to explore. The hotel is in a quiet location but close to Saint Armel which had a popular cafe/bar linked to a patisserie and also a Creperie was nearby for an evening meal. I had such a lovely welcome from the lady at reception and she helped me with telling me about the Creperie but also pointing out the nearby beach for a swim. The hotel from the outside is understated and the internal concrete stairway with flaking paint does not do justice to the hotel itself. My room (room 4) was so spacious, with a large ensuite with bath and the bed, pillows etc were so comfy. I had two relaxing chairs and a small coffee table in the room also. I really enjoyed my stay and would heartedly recommend. I didn’t choose eat breakfast at the hotel but it looked lovely and I am sure was up to the standard of the room

A small hotel with a large room, quiet. Good size bathroom with bath tube. My room was on a 2nd floor and there was no lift. The hotel is near a small village, in a quiet area. Breakfast for 12 euros was fine. Parking was easy and the internet worked. Very good cost/quality ratio.

A wonderful place to stay in Saint Armel
Posted 1 May 2023 on HotelsI loved this place. Fantastic breakfast. Room clean and big. Jean Michel the manager / owner was so friendly and helpful. Wonderfully relaxing. I would love to go back especially in the hot summertime

Good area, looks modern. Inaccurate description, NOT A HOTEL. Computer gave one impression before booking, information regarding check in times only received after booking by which time it was beyond last check in time, a Saturday evening, French dinner time! No reception staff on arrival at 20.00, telephoned # given and host Spoke good English, he was having his evening meal at a restaurant, saying he would come to the hotel in an hour. The host arrived at 21.20.
Initially the room looked good. It was a tiled floor. Heating was difficult to operate. The shower looked good but the door bottom seal was torn and let water onto the tiled floor making it slippery. The bathroom air extraction system did NOT extract air. The sink plug could Not be made to hold water, the plug not seal, could not be made to seal (I am an engineer), wet shaving was difficult, condensation all over the mirror, running water only. Cosmetically the room looked good, but my partner likes privacy, there were net curtains plus curtains, the net curtains (see the ‘hotel’ images) hide the top half of a body, but from the bust level to the window base was clear glass! Here were weeds everywhere….Autumn. Sound insulation was poor with tiled floors, neighbours walking or moving chairs or beds could be heard…..first resident awake would inadvertently wake other residents….a Sunday morning. Some electrical sockets were behind the bed’s headboard, so safety was reduced. Not cheap at >75€

Few days on the coast at the end of our holiday.

Pros: Modern Clean and Comfortable.
Location: Beaches and the Golfe du Morbihan are close by.
The hotel is ideally situated to explore the Presqu'ile de Rhuys. It is a friendly and comfortable 3 Star and our room was big enough with a good modern bathroom. There is good parking on site. The village of St Armel is very pretty.

Hotel with potential

Pros: The hotel is very clean; the bathroom is modern and spacious; sanitaries work well. Beds are comfortable. Good breakfasts.
Cons: Room furnishing is basic and even spartan. Literally no space to put away your clothing for long stays (no chests and only one shelf in the closet).
Location: Location on the Rhuys peninsula is good.
The hotel is rather new and functional in appearance. It is well located on the Rhuys Peninsula in a quiet small village. The view from the hotel is non descriptive but flower beds and a small garden make it pleasant. The hotel is extremely clean. Rooms are large enough and the bathroom (shower) is modern, spacious and sanitaries work well. Some rooms are lucky to have a little terrace with furmiture. Management and staff are friendly, caring and ready to please anyway they can. Breakfasts are delicious. My only regret is the room furnishings. Furniture is quite spartan for a 3* hotel: our room was a twin room and we were only entitled to one chair (no armchair), a table and 2 small side bed tables (no drawers). There was no chest of drawers to put away your clothing (we were there for 6 nights) and the small closet had only one shelf located on top or the hanging space, thus too small for 2 and too high to reach for short people. Upon my complaints, one chair and a small bookshelf were added to our room to help us out but I did mention that the furnishings was not up to standard for a 3* vacation hotel (it would be appropriate if you book short 2/3 night stays and live out of your suitcase). If management was ready to add a little more comfort to the rooms, it would be a very good hotel.
