Posted 10 Jun 2024 on HotelsRoom was quiet, beds really comfy and had a great night's sleep. Owner friendly and chatty (his English was very good!). We were on a motorcycle and had no issues parking, plenty of space all hard standing and safe. Evening meal was good and hearty, and we could sit outside where there is a really lovely garden. Plenty for breakfast - bread rolls, meats, cheeses and home made jams. We were just stopping off for one night, but overall a great stay!

The hotel is very old but clean and the staff is nice.
If you are not looking for anything fancy and don't care about distances other than the airport, this is a nice choice

Very good location, rural, picturesque and peaceful yet near enough to main route I used travelling north. Host cordial and attentive.
I will return without hesitation.

Pros: Quiet
Cons: Redecorate, new menus, cleanliness
Location: Nothing to do nearby unless you like walking. No shops, no amenities.
The good part: Lovely staff, quiet location and good value for money.
The bad part: Rooms are very old fashioned, like going back in time. Not very clean either. Lots of cobwebs under the bed side cabinets. I reached under to plug my iPad into the mains and got a handful of cobwebs. Generally dated and dusty rooms, dead insects etc, but for the price, I couldn’t have got better anywhere else. One tip, there are NO shops anywhere around. Bring snacks and water etc with you. Or you’ll have to buy everything you need from the hotel restaurant. And the restaurant menu is 40% asparagus dishes, 40% schnitzel dishes, plus one or two soup and salad dishes. If you want variety, go to the nearby town of ladbergen. €15 in a taxi.
