Do not recommend
Posted 9 Nov 2018 on HotelsWhen I arrived, there was no one at the front desk. A lady appeared from the kitchen and she spoke zero English. I tried to communicate with her via Google translate to ask her if the hotel was opened, she shook her head. In the end, I found a number on the front door and called it. A young lady came, passed me the keys and let me be. I appear to be the only person staying there at the time. I saw no other guests. The room is rather run down and the floor was sandy. The shower only had cold water and at one point, the water stopped flowing. I had to wait a couple of minutes before trying again. I understand that this is a budget hotel but I really was not expecting a stay like this. Will not be returning to this hotel the next time I'm in Sapa.

Okay for a couple nights
Posted 15 Apr 2018 on HotelsSpent a few nights here earlier this month.
Hotel has a great location, just a few minutes' walk from town, and was very quiet. The staff were friendly, professional and helpful. We booked a day trek through them and we loved it.
However, our first room was absolutely filled with mold, so we requested to be changed to another room which still had mold, but was much better. (Keeping in mind that it is very cool and humid here, and most buildings we went into all had visible mold.)
The breakfast included in our stay were delicious - one of the best Pho we've had in Vietnam!
For the money, this place is good on a backpacker's budget or if you're not wanting to spend much money on accomodations; want to be close to town yet in a quiet area.

Clean, quiet, helpful staff, and good food
Posted 2 Apr 2018It's clean-ish. Use their floor slippers please. No weird smells, and nice clean bed.
The bathroom is weird because it doesn't have a vent so you have to leave the door open to let the bathroom dry out.
Loved the little balcony that overlooks the valley, absolutely beautiful.
On site restaurant was actually really really good, try their omelette!

Cheap and a small walk to restaurants
Posted 30 May 2017This hotel is good for a budget traveller but is not big on views. There is construction going on at the moment, but given there is a lot all over Sapa. We changed hotels because it was so loud. I got a room without a window and our friends had one that was right up against the side of a concrete building.
Otherwise the staff are nice, pushy for tours/buses though. We found better elsewhere.

We thank you for your review, we have renovated our restrooms and many things, so it is much better now.
For the noise from our neighbor, it is less and will be finished very soon because they nearly complete building. We are so sorry for that, but it is a few hours in the day time only, do not worry.
We do hope we have another chance to welcome you back with better service and condition.
Thanks again and welcome back.

Find some where else.
Posted 26 Mar 2017 on LastminuteI'm usually a very fair, and generous reviewer however when thinking of what to write in their favour here, I struggled big time. I'll give a run down of the bad things, and maybe by the end I'll have found something positive.
When we arrived, there was no key for our room. The staff said they'd look for it, so we waited in our room for 45 mins before going back down the 4 flights of stairs (no elevator) to ask. The girl behind the counter seemingly hadn't been looking, as when I asked she acted like I'd jogged her memory. At this time, I also asked if we could get some laundry done. Three more times we went up and down the stairs after waiting, only to be told that the room would be safe to be left unlocked. Since we were on holiday, we decided not to mope around and worry (foolishly) and we went out to explore. Upon coming back some 6 hrs later, they STILL hadn't found a key. By this stage, we were furious. We went and sat in our room and started researching other hotels. A short while later, a tradesman turned up and it was apparent (not that this was explained at all by the staff) that he was replacing the lock. An hour passed, and the lock was replaced and we were finally given a key.
We decided to shower and head to town for dinner, but there was one problem... the shower only pumped out cold water and only if you held the hand held shower head around waist height - not enough pressure in the system to use the rainhead. The smell from the toilet was horrific, and the

Hell hotel
Posted 17 Mar 2017Room was dusty beyond words. Sheets were not changed n i spent the whole night scratching. Constructions next door stopped only at midnight. Power supple was cut twice. Seems that this is a daily occurrence. If u do want to take a chance like i did, after reading negative reviews, be prepared for the worst then. I moved out the second day. I had to pay more than double to stay in Sapa Diamond Hotel but it was a piece of heaven in Sapa. Only 3 months old n equal to 4 stars at least in terms of service excellence and comfort. Totally worth the price paid. If i have to grade Stunning View, it will be terrible in all areas and zero stars. I wish i had taken photos to show you how bad it is. 2 other families were complaining when i was there.

Run down hotel
Posted 31 Jan 2017The hotel was run down and in need of upgrades. Handrail fell off when my daughter was walking up stairs. In the middle of the night a pipe bursted and there was water flooding the stairs. Our room was tied the wall paper on the walls was coming off.
Our room was right on the street . There was constant noise from the street. It was hard to sleep.
