Excellent choice in Rovaniemi
Posted 23 Jan 2024 on HotelsExcellent location in the city center of Rovaniemi. The hotel itself is rather functionally furnished, but offers all the amenities which a traveller might need. The breakfast is excellent and prepares you well for a day of exploration in Lapland. The friendly staff is an enormous asset - they helped us a few times with taxi bookings and even helped us to find an intercity bus schedule.
The only downside is a somewhat neglected maintenance - there’s quite a bit of wall chipping which is probably a result of customers hitting them with big bags. However, those do not diminish the experience. Would not hesitate to stay here again!

Clean but disappointed
Posted 2 Jan 2024 on HotelsRovaniemi is a small city so I’m not sure what the other hotels are like. While the service and location of this hotel was excellent, I didn’t understand the 4star hotel rating. There were holes in the curtains, the conditioner was almost empty when we arrived, there was no hand lotions, the shower rack was falling off the wall. There’s no safe in the room so we had to travel everywhere with our passports and valuables. I just expected a bit nicer accommodation for a 4star hotel. Again, the staff were friendly and the room was clean so I don’t want to seem ungrateful.

Our standard rooms do not have own safety lockers but you're always welcome to bring valuables to reception to be stored in the safe securely. A very welcoming hotel close to everything in town. Staff were so welcoming. The room was nice and clean. Very close to transportation to the train, airport and Santa’s village. I highly recommend this hotel.

Nearby the city center bus stops, a distance of around 1.5 miles to the passenger train station. The bus stop for connections to Santa's Village is right next door

The receptionists we met on Sunday around 1pm were super friendly and accommodating. The two receptionists working on Monday 5pm were super not friendly and they did not even want to open the locker room for us to get our luggages. They also asked us to use the bathrooms in the restaurant not inside the hotel. Their attitudes were as cold as the weather in rovaniemi.

We apologize any inconvenience caused. Our hotel has not own toilets on the lobby, we use our restaurant Frans & Cheries toilets when restaurant is open. I couldn't let you use our sauna rooms toilets, like you did earlier (when restaurant was closed), because there were someone going to have sauna already. Hope you're rest of the journey were pleasant
