Bed is super comfortable and the lodge is a great location in Rotorua. The studios even have a private mineral bath. It is out the window of the bathroom and I know that sounds strange but it’s such a pleasant surprise!! We very much enjoyed our stay and will be back!

Posted 27 Sep 2020 on HotelsClose to city center. Easy walk to shops and eateries. Room was not ready when we arrived. Reception staff were polite. Car park not big enough for average sized car. Although the room appeared clean and tidy, it desperately needs refurnishing. Did not appreciate the cockroaches in room 5.

Great value, Great Location
Posted 25 Feb 2020 on HotelsOverall a good place. Needs a lick of paint here and there. The outside "spa" was no more than a private space outside the bathroom door accessed through the window. If you're booking for that reason (we didn't do ok) then be sure about the level of room you want!

Pros:
- The woman running the show is WONDERFUL. She was very friendly and happy to help us with recommendations and tips.
- Location was good - easy walk to restaurants and bars, as well as the government gardens
Neutrals:
- The room felt a little old but things were generally clean
Cons:
- Shower was TINY and water ended up everywhere (and I mean everywhere)
- According to the woman at the front desk, this might have been because of the sudden heat wave but there were COCKROACHES. They were small (maybe 1-1.5" long [up to 3.5cm]) but we killed about a dozen of them over the course of two nights and one even fell on my husband while we were lying in bed on the last night. I mentioned this to the front desk so that they could call an exterminator but not sure if future guests might run into this.

Great location. We got the two room appartment which was fantastic value for money compared to anything else I could find.
