Wonderful Motel and Experience

Very nice staff and convenient location to many supermarkets and restaurants. The guest room was very clean, spacious, and quiet. The staff was friendly and helpful! Many thanks to her! We had a great time at this motel and would like to be returning guests in the future!

This property is cute and eccentric, we had a good time as we were within a half hour walk to things that we needed and wanted to do. Facilities could do with a big clean as there was a lot of dust and dirt around, we would have spent much more time in the open air area but it was dirty. Staff were great, friendly and helpful!

Proximity was convenient for shopping, groceries, dining, all walkable. Loved the unique design of the 3-bedroom unit we occupied! Very cozy yet spacious. Direct access to a lovely back porch/yard. Really appreciated each room having its own individual heating unit to control! Nice rustic feel but with the high-voltage ceilings and exposed beams. Exhaust fans could use a bit of cleaning in the bathroom (dust/cobwebs) and blinds in the kitchen area could fit the window more completely. Overall a great value.

Great motel with everything you need

I had the family balcony unit of which there are two right at the front of the hotel. Parking was right outside the unit. The staff were very friendly and took time to show the map snd the main areas of interest. The motel is in the Main Street but 1-2 kilometer from the shopping. The staff member recommended Hellsgate Thermsl park and gave me a 10% discount voucher. She also showed me how to get to the free thermal park. My tv stopped working but it was replaced quickly. There’s full cooking facilities, tea coffe snd toaster and everything was clean and tidy. There’s no Aircon but a fan and heater are provided . There was a single bed and couch in kitchen/ lounge room and separate room with double bed.

Lovely big room with an even bigger bathroom with a great bathtub and heaps of bench space. Nice mattress on the bed, all very clean & tidy.

This place was awesome to stay at. Would definitely recommend bringing your own pillows as the pillows there were ridiculously hard! Also got a call from the hotel saying they would email me details for my late check in but never received anything so had to call up which was an easy fix but just thought it was weird to not email when you said you would. Also conditioner too as we were only supplied soap and shampoo. The key/lock is pretty fidgety to handle and also there were clothes left in a drawer and a hat from I’m guessing the previous booking? There was only 3 channels on the TV(2 sport and movie channel was fuzzy) But overall I did enjoy staying here if you’re going to be out 80% of the time. It’s a great place to come home too at night and just chill out and sleep. Also bathroom lights are AWESOME! Such a beautiful bathroom heaps of mirrors and good lighting. It was close to all amenities in Rotorua and was a great trip.

We managed to book this property at the last minute and were expecting an average motel at best after booking only the day before during the peak busy season. However, we were very pleasantly surprised to be greeted by the lovely receptionist who was so pleasant, the house was very cute and had everything we needed. The kids were rapt with the place and the facilities we had, it was close to everything, we would definitely go back.

Avoid staying with family if you can

The room lacks basics like glasses cutlery mirrors, bathroom so small, no windows excess issues lifts not working no parking arrangement it was really not what the pictures on the website shows.
