Posted 30 Mar 2024 on Hotelswent for 2 night stay, ended up staying another 1. only 2 things stopped it being all 5 stars were the stairs and pillows to soft. they even froze my fish for me to take home fresh. will definitely go again.

Good value if you are fit and healthy!
Posted 30 Jan 2024 on HotelsLots of stairs and no lift - which wouldn't have been a problem 20 years ago, but anyone like me with impaired mobility should be warned!
Room door lock was not secure - could easily be fixed.
But amazingly clean, comfortable, and good value in a very convenient location.

Had a lovely weekend, our room was a great size and lovely and clean. We only had breakfast at the hotel which was really nice. Staff were lovely and we would definitely stay again.

Guest welcome was poor, no help offered regarding facilities or things to do. Restaurant clearly understaffed, food was awful. Would recommend for a short stay but advise you eat elsewhere. Otherwise staff were pleasant.

Hello SafiyaWe have your review which we find rather odd.We go through the normal procedure on checking in and are very happy to give information when requested. Also, we are directly opposite the discovery centre where you can obtain all the information about the island and what is on.It was myself who spoke to you in the restaurant and asked if everything was okay and you responded with yes. We don’t do awful food and if you are unhappy with the food our response would be to offer an alternative or not charge if the meal is not eaten even if we think the meal is okay.Strikes me that the best way to get a result is to deal with any problems at the time and if not satisfied do a review then.

Spotless rooms, comfy bed, I had a good nights sleep, breakfast was lovely.
Horrible door locks.
We had a truly awful evening meal in Ghillies the restaurant attached to the hotel...eat elsewhere but I would recommend the Victoria!!

A lovely relaxing stay in Rothesay
Posted 6 Jun 2023 on HotelsReally nice visit. The hotel is ideally situated approx 100 metres from the pier at Rothesay and bus stops and directly across from the tourist information centre. The room allocated was on the 3rd floor and was a good size, very comfortable and clean. There was a small TV and tea / coffee making facilities. Breakfast was provided for £10. Although the choice was limited it was satisfactory for me with cereal, full Scottish breakfast, tea / coffee etc. if I was returning to Rothesay / Bute I would definitely consider a return to this hotel. Thank you for a very pleasant and relaxing stay.
