Beautiful Views but poor Customer Care.

Disappointed with the customer care. Check in was 3pm (quite a late check-in time as it is) As we were going to a function at 5 and had to leave the hotel at 4.30 I called ahead to ask if it was possible to get in to the room a little earlier. I was told abruptly and with an incredulous voice that that was impossible as they would be cleaning rooms right up to 3pm. OK, but not even to be given a simple "see what we can do" or a polite apology was a slap in the face before we had even arrived. On arrival we had to go looking for someone to check-in and no-one seemed to know what was happening, eventually got our key and had to find a bit of furniture to lean on to fill in check-in information.
Given a lovely LOOKING room with stunning views over the bay only problem was the quality of the bedding was so poor we both slept really badly. As a room only deal we were really disappointed the cost.

Whenever I do a favor for someone it totally backfires!!
You booked the cheapest room in the hotel & I upgraded you to the best room in the house - £90 difference and you're still not happy!
We have check in times to allow guests to enter a room that is finished.
It isn't possible to allow check ins any earlier if the rooms are occupied the night before - as the whole hotel on this occasion was.
It also isn't our fault if you cannot read the notice on reception along side the telephone.
You also decided to ignore check out time and left late - I wish you'd taken your business elsewhere as for the £68 I'd rather not have rude people like you.
We run a lovely hotel with cotton bedding that is replaced EVERY 3 months - Feel free to find somewhere better on your return - make sure its not here.

Good location with great views. Rooms spacious with period features and decor.
Great breakfast buffet.
