Not worth it.

Honestly this price is very over hyped in the reviews. It is basically a hostel and it is not worth it. Overall it was okay but the bathroom was not clean. The shower had a dirty towel as well as black mold in it. There was a cup on the sink that also had gross things in it. The bed was thankfully clean but there was a lot of dust under the bed and around. I would not recommend unless you’re comfortable sleeping in something like this.

Stephanie I'm tremendously sorry for such a bad review, it seems that you sleep in another place, not mine! This is a guesthouse not a hostel. I'm sorry you did not enjoy my place but please do not say that my place is dirty and full of dust because that is not true, Alyssa is a good cleaner and Claudia checked the room before your check in. I've checked the room today before cleaning and there was no dust. The towel you found in the shower is a carpet to dry feet when going out of shower, we change it daily. This is high season in Rome and prices are higher than usual but always lower or in any case in line with other guesthouses of the area. I think that your disappoint started when I've informed you about the rising of city tax price from 3,5 to 6 euros per person per night starting the day of your check in, you were convinced that you have already payed that tax but the city tax was not included in the price of the room on this website. Rising of city tax is not our fault! Then i understand that asking you to inform us about your estimated arrival time was also something you did not like as you answered us after many hours and multiple requests... as we are a guest house we do not have a reception and we ask our guest to inform us about their estimated arrival time, we can open all the gates from remote but we always prefer to give guests a warm welcome face to face. Anyway I'm really sorry if something went wrong during your stay and want to apologize with you for what was wrong... not for cleaning! Ciao Paolo

The property was noisy since we arrived. Had to drive around a few times before finding a parking. The property was so loud through out the day and it carried into the night. We did not get any sleep and had to find another hotel to spend our remaining days in Rome. The attendand told us we should have contacted her but they only answer up to 10 Pm. It was an awful experience.

We are terribly sorry for your bad experience, it has never happened in 15 years of activity that guests went away without saying anything like you did! It is also the first time in 15 years that we receive such a low rating, compared to hundreds of 5 star ratings, we do this work with the heart and we think we do not deserve this! Our rooms are not soundproofed, this is true but we have never said that they are, we are in a building of Roman families, in a very populous city and therefore also noisy, if your standards are different you should choose more carefully the place where you want to sleep in during a Saturday afternoon after an international flight. Silent time is mandatory after 10.00 PM, we are tolerant between 10.00 and midnight and after that time silent is guarantee. We are available 24 hours on 24 if you call from the emergency phone at the entrance of our apartments so it is absolutely not true what you say! On the phone of the B & B we answer from 10.00 AM to 10.00 PM but we put these emergency phones (well visible and explained through a PDF guide that we leave to all our guests at check in) just to be always available. Unfortunately you literally disappeared without telling us anything, the second day of your stay we arrived at the hotel and we found your room empty, we wrote you to know if you were coming back and what had happened and you answered us in the late afternoon, at 17.30 !!! Unfortunately you did not communicate anything, neither by phone/whatsapp or using the emergencies one. We were definitely shocked by not finding your things in the room the following morning and later on we find out in the afternoon that you had gone away! For anything you can find a solution, we could have changed your room or ask the family of Roman residents who live near your room to pay more attention but if we are not informed we can not do anything... you had various channels to contact us and you have not even tried to do it! About parking I don’t really know what to say, we have an agreement with the garage under our building and parking in the street is free... we are in a very populous city, we do not live in countryside, If you want to arrive and park without searching a car park for few minutes then pay the garage, you can not complain about that! We offered you a refund in case we were able to rent the room but you were not interested, you did not even cancel your reservation not even giving us a way to rent your room again and to pay you back. Your vacation are important for us and we do our best since 15 years to let people have a pleasant stay and beautiful memories about their travel unfortunately some guests like you pretend to check in in 5 minutes without paying attention to out tips, do not read before booking, do not read during the stay, do not comunicate anything. We are tremendously sorry for what happen but at the end we do not feel guilty about it, it was not our fault! Hope you find the place you deserve!

An eco and family friendly place

Our family stay was wonderful. The place was exactly what we wanted, clean, and with all amenities. We did not mind the short traveling by metro. We were close enough the city but far for a more subdued and integrated atmosphere. Paolo and his assistant were friendly and extremely helpful. We would stay again.

Good value convenient to museums and attractions.

Building itself was well cared for but the area was questionable. We had no problems but I would have been nervous to have been by myself in the area. Building itself was very secure! Ate at a great restaurant recommended by our host. Convenient to metro into town for all of the museums and sites. Electricity went out overnight which caused us to lose hot water early in the morning, host was quickly contacted by emergency phone and rectified issue immediately. Overall great value for a clean stay, convenient to attractions with comfortable beds.

We are happy that you understand that 24/7 emergency phone has its important value in a small family run guesthouse like ours and we hope you enjoyed the biological local white wine we offer to you and your family. We are sorry that you didn't understand how safe is Quadraro area. The morning you arrived Paolo saw you and your husband walking around from the bar where he was drinking his coffee, he stopped you and asked "Which place are you searching for?" as you seemed lost, we think that what happen can describe the Quadraro area as a "town in the city" and a place where inhabitants are welcoming with tourists. This area is still authentic, everybody knows each other and there is always people around (there is a 24/7 supermarket at Porta Furba Quadraro metro station), this makes our streets safe! We have never heard of tourists annoyed or robbed in the streets of our neighborhood (it is easier to happen in the city centre!). We are so proud of our area (it's where we were born!) and we hope you will give the neighborhood a second chance and find the time to have a walk around M.U.Ro the free open air street art museum or rent a bicycle in our affiliated bike rent and discover the beauty of the regional park of Old Appian Way which starts 300 mt far from our building. Our area is also famous for shopping as via Tuscolana is an important commercial street with every kind of shops, restaurants and bars and there are the important studios of Cinecittà at its end. The owner Paola was unbelievable. He met us only arrival. Got us settled in. Gave us the tour of facilities. Gave us a bottle of wine. Everything was very nice. But the best part was sitting down with us and taking a map he provided to explain and mark out our tour of Rome. We took the metro, 500 meters away. He told us the stops to take, the things to see, places to eat , where to get coffee and Gelato. He couldn't have been better.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was a great location in a nice neighborhood near the Metro station. Lot of good places to shop and eat. Room was clean and comfortable. Paolo was pleasant and was helpful in getting around the neighborhood and Rome.

Very helpful, if it wasn't for Paolo my family wouldn't have experience Rome... and other parts of Italy
