Simple, clean and comfortable B&B
Located right outside Ottaviano Metro station and only 10mins walk to Vatican City it is easy to reach from the centre. Clean and tidy this converted apartment has a genuine feel without the fuss of a hotel. The host will make you feel at home. Basic continental breakfast including fresh pastries. Room was clean and the bed very comfy. We sleep really well!

The owner was wonderful and helpful in every way! The only issue is that there is no wifi in the room, only the common area. It is literally 10 steps from the metro and down the street from the Vatican. Excellent room size, too!

Almost home away from home
The wifi network was not strong enough to reach our room. As a result, we had to always go to the common area to use it. The manager/owner is particularly very nice and welcoming. He made us feel very at home.

Room itself was quite disappointing not what we expected after having looked at the pictures. But the guest house itself is located close to the Vatican.

Good value, great location
We spent there 2 nights in order to get to see the best of Rome in a really tight timeline. Location was absolutely fantastic as we arrived to Rome by train at Termini station and connected right away to the local subway network in order to get to Ottaviano. Federici’s is maximum 20 steps from the Ottaviano subway exit, which was super convenient. Not only that, the whole Vatican area is maybe 10 minutes away at the most, walking distance. As for the owners/hosts, Fabio and his mother were always welcoming, kind and helpful. Breakfast was very good and generous, and perhaps you get to know other guests of this B&B at the dining table (family-style) while eating. The room was clean, comfortable and bright. The one issue we did experience during our stay was that we didn’t get hot water all the time while showering, and that made our bath time longer which delayed us in our schedule. This is something that I shared with Fabio for improvement/repair. Other than that I would recommend this B&B.

Nice B&B well located.
We had a very nice stay. The B&B is in front a metro station, but we don't hear it. The owner gave us many informations and good restaurant address. The neiborhood is nice and near everything. Good breakfast. We would definitively return at this address.

If you are looking for 5 star luxury, then this is not for you. If, however, you are looking for a warm welcome and comfortable affordable accommodation, look no further. Fabio is a most attentive host and makes your stay a very pleasant one. If you get the weather we had as well, then it's win win!

Great location
Perfect location for Vatican and St Peters, right on the metro line. Friendly staff, and varied breakfast made a great stay. We were on the front room, and the noise from the nearby trams was quite loud. Also had to go to the hall to get internet, a bit annoying but not a deal breaker. We would stay here again.

Close to Vatican
Fabio was fantastic! He greeted us promptly, gave us excellent walking directions for sights, the best gelato and best nearby restaurant, we took him up on it and he was right, fantastic food. The price was great for a clean B&B and 5 minute walk to Vatican. The room was hot but it seemed that there was so sort of A/C, we just did not have the remote to operate it. Breakfast was typical croissants, bread, and beverages. I would stay here again.

Very comfortable and reasonable B&B near Vatican
Staff can speak English very well. The hotel is located just above the Ottaviano - St Pietro Metro Station, very convenient place to visit the Vatican city. Caution is needed that the check-in time is 08:30 thru 14:00, late arrival is not allowed.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights in total, at the beginning and end of our trip to Italy. Fabio, the manager, was incredibly friendly and helpful giving us tips on where to eat, sites to see, etc. It's possible to book tours and get tickets through him as well. The location is excellent as it's literally steps from a metro stop. It's not quite walkable to the main sites of the Colosseum and Ancient Rome (a 15 minute metro ride, 1 hr walk), but is within walking distance of the Vatican. The rooms are small but comfortable and clean, with new AC units that made our sleeps blissful despite the heat wave! It comes highly recommended!

We arrive to Federici around 10 pm and ring the buzz and a lady speaking only italian let us in after many attempts with the buzzer but did not tell us which floor so we kep pushing the buzzer and then when we were in she started screaming about why were pressing the buzz so many times and tellings us that we were really loud. Come on! I don't think that is the way to treat your guests. A few minutes later she was OK and tried to explain us Rome with a map. -The place is clean and is really close (2 blocks) to Vatican City. The metro stop is literally in front of the place (Ottaviano-A) which is quite good. -The bed was super uncomfortable because they joined two twin beds and you could really feel it in the middle. -The breakfast is not great compared to other places (B&B) I've stayed in - cereal, bread (peanut butter, nutella, jam, butter), coffee/tea, and maybe some yogurt. Our last day there our train was not leaving until late in the afternoon so we wanted to do a last walk around Rome and we asked Fabio if we could levae our bags in the room as he had no one coming in and he said sure if you pay me 30 euros or you can't just leave it in my office (this is what we did). It seems that he could have easily let us use the room for a few hours after check out without asking for the money but is just me. Overall, the place is not that cheap for what you get. I think that for the money you could probably find something better and feel more comfortable.

Excelente en todos los sentidos
Limpieza y un trato inmejorable tanto por el dueño como por los empleados. Al entrar por el portal te da la sensación de que te metes en un sitio viejo y descuidado, pero al entrar al B&B todo cambia, muy cuidado y recien reformado. Nada mas salir del portal te encuentras con la boca del metro y al girar la esquina y andar unos 5 minutos estas en plena plaza de San Pedro. Hay tiendas a lo largo de la calle. Excelente en todos lo sentidos
