We booked honeymoon suite - didn’t want to touch anything- would have left immediately if there was option of another place to stay - smelled of bug spray mixed with cigarettes smoke. No parking near by. Loud young people under our bedroom window till 1:30 am. Had to message and call owner during night about it. Left as soon as sun came up - ruined our last night of vacation- do not go there - didn’t want to use shower - bathroom too tiny to move in.

Dear Maxine, we feel obliged to respond to your review to point out that smoking is prohibited in our apartment and that we do not use insecticides, so this observation of yours seems unlikely to us, secondly the noise outside does not depend on us, and does not episodes like this always happen. So far no one has ever complained about the bathroom, the same thing about the parking, we are in a small medieval village, there are parking spaces but on weekends they are often busy, it was enough to travel 200 meters more. Our apartment has a magnificent lake view and offers all the comforts, we are sorry that instead of appreciating all this you bothered to take photos of the antique furniture and other things. The property was absolutely beautiful perfect view of the lake right out The window or the balcony. The owner was fabulous. We came in late and he came and helped us check in late. He also helped me when I locked my key in the apartment. Very friendly and professional There was also a cute little bar downstairs that was very convenient , friendly people everywhere at Castle, Gandolfo. I would definitely stay here again

We had a beautiful , charming, 2 bedroom apartment looking over the lake, with a lovely little kitchen and living room with a fireplace. The rooms were spotless. The location was perfect, just a few steps to the palace and main square. I would definitely stay there again and will not hesitate to recommend it to others.

Beautiful view of the lake. Plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance along with a pharmacy.The beach is about a 30 min walk.

The staff who checked us in were just fantastic the nicest people you could meet. Even invited us to dinner with them. I would recommend anyone visit here. The view from our terrace is just amazing

Such a cute little apartment. Bedroom was spacious, bathroom very modern, AC worked great! Wonderful location and dining options. We were greeted by Roberta, very friendly and knowledgable about Castel Gandolfo!!

A wonderful peaceful visit to Castel Gonfolfo
Posted 4 Sep 2024 on HotelsThe owners of the hotel and all of the staff I saw daily were the most welcoming and hospitable I had ever met and I travel a lot! My room, 2 floor suite with a terrace balcony on the second floor overlooking lake Albano, was spotless, and the view breathtaking and so peaceful to look at. Coffee was available in the lobby at your leisure and bottled water was complimentary, left in your mini fridge. There were so many amazing restaurants available just around the corner, steps away, either with a view of the lake or along the main shopping area. The owners were kind enough to give me a lift to the closest train station in Ciampino, since the train station in Castel Gondolfo was temporarily closed for repair. I appreciated that so much as I didn’t have to figure out how to catch the bus and wait outside in the hot street. This hotel is a perfect base for sight seeing other small towns or Rome without the crowds of a big city. If you are going, book this hotel. A beautiful experience!
