It was a pleasant change to stay in a smaller hotel that had a family feel about it, as opposed to a large soul- less corporate hotel.
The staff were friendly, pleasant and courteous.
My room was very nicely decorated and filled out, and the en-suiute was spotlessly clean and looked as it it had been recently installed. I also had the benefit of a terrace that I could sit out in.
The hotel was very convenient for walking in to Macinaggio that has numerous bars and restaurants to be enjoyed and there is a really safe swimming beach just north of marina.
The area is a complete treat and comes highly recommended .

Convenient hotel near seafront

Pros: Convenience with good parking. En suite bathroom was particularly nice.
Cons: Stair wells and passages gloomy and not very fresh smelling
Location: Near the seafront and marina. Several restaurants and tourist type shops.
Reasonably comfortable room but the stairway and passages were a bit gloomy and not very fresh smelling.
Staff were helpful and spoke good English

Cozy Hotel
Posted 13 Sep 2013Overall it is very good. Sensible price. The host is very friendly and nice. The room is clean and cozy. At a few good restaurants near the hotel, you can enjoy great sea food.

Perfect hotel

Good hotel, close to small quiet and pretty town

Pros: The boat trip offered by the hotel at €45 is not to be missed.
Cons: Patchy wi-fi in my room on the 2nd floor. More often unavailable then working, but fine in the reception, lobby and dining areas.
Location: Mostly restaurants and ice cream parlours. Nearby supermarket open til 8pm but shut 12-4pm. Post office with a cashpoint outside also close by.
Breakfast was rather ordinary however the 2 evening meals I had at the hotel were very good and actually provided better value than the nearby places to eat. Each member of staff made an effort to be cheerful and helpful. All spoke English to some degree, most of them did so very well. All in all very happy with the hotel. The only negative to be aware of is the cost of taxis (€120 from the airport and €100 from Bastia town after 7pm) as there are only 3 buses in and out of Macinaggio each day.

An efficientplace to stay in northen Cap Corse
Posted 1 Jul 2012While this modern hotel has relatively little 'cachet' - which many charming Corsican hotels do - it was nice to be somewhere (for a change) where everything worked, etc. It was also convenient (walking distance) for the little port of Macinaggio, at the NE end of Cap Corse.
