This is the worst hotel stay I have ever had. I was there to have surgery at the Mayo clinic. The hotel was billed as near the Mayo clinic.It is 15-20 minutes away. Pool was closed, laundry room no machines worked, all ice machines were broken. My adult children had to ask 3 days in a row for room cleaning. How does a professional business allow their customer service assocites at the front desk to work barefooted. I was in the hospital two days into the stay having surgery so my kids put up with this out of necessity. Laquinta needs to really reevaluate their standards at this location.

I brought my daughter here for a birthday overnight. I picked this hotel from online pictures of the children’s area of the pool. When we went to the pool that part of the pool was closed with no reason given, so we had to swim in the deeper water. While we were there swimming there was a group of young men (seemingly friends of the guy at the front desk) sitting in the hot tub and when they got out they were in their underwater! NOT appropriate!! I am unsure, but I do not think they were hotel guests. Pool doors to the outside were propped open making it chilly. To add to the pool problems, the next morning the entire pool was closed. Guests should be made aware of closures. This was why I chose this hotel. Our room was okay, not the cleanest, the TV did not work and the toilet seat was broken. Overall, disappointing.

There were bloodstains on one of the pillows, brown stains caked into the carpet, visible mold in the bathroom, the tub looked disgusting, there was brown stuff all over the soap dish in the bathroom, and the AC didn’t work well. I also had to wait quite a while for someone to appear so I could check in. Although when he did show up he was very kind. I ended up booking a different hotel rather than staying another night - they did refund me for my unused night and the staff didn’t seem surprised I wanted to check out early.

Staff was helpful and curtious. Breakfast was so- so. Im not into eggs or ceral so not many other options.
