"We had a nice visit to Aloni Villas in April, at the start of the season. First, the villa itself was very nice - new and maintained well. Each villa has a private pool and has pretty much everything you need. George is very pleasant and works hard to make it a nice stay. We visited in April, which was disadvantageous for a few reasons: 1. It was a little chilly. The heat pump units in the villas just aren't up to heating the place if it's cold. "We had the most incredible week at the villa. The owner was so friendly and informative about the area and was on hand to sort any issues that we had during our stay. Not that we really had any! The village was an unexpected gem. Very peaceful location with two fantastic restaurants to go to, within a couple of minutes walk. The villas we stayed in was nicely sized, had all the amenities we needed. short walk to the nearby beach. others can access it but villas had their own lounge chairs with key. Main pool only open 5pm and later but each unit has a pool if needed. honestly, ocean is so much better as the water is clear and temperature perfect. few restaurants in walking distance. store just a short 2 minutes drive. central location about hour to chania, 90 minutes to south side. "
