Stunning location!! I'm used to going to beach front resorts and even though this has beach cabanas (which are stunning! Worth the upgrade) the lagoon and cenote along with the biking path and groves is magical. You feel like you're on a private resort!! Only two restaurants which switch days they are open and one bar which is still enough to get any beverage you want and leaves you full. I recommend sticking to local dishes and the seafood (the sushi is amazing!). It was renovated years ago so if you look too closely you'll find wear and tear but there are constantly people working on the grounds improving everything. The spa is gorgeous and relaxing. Honestly I felt like a celebrity and I would like to come back!

- only one restaurant open. Tough eating the same menu for breakfast and lunch for 5 straight days
- no air conditioning. Room for 28 degrees Celsius entire trip
- tv no working
- bad room smell
- transport bikes all broken and very limited

My wife and I recently celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary at the Blue Diamond Luxury Boutique and could not have asked for a more incredible experience. The resort itself is retreat-like with peaceful zen vibes but the quality and care of the facility provides that luxury resort feel. The staff was attentive, social and truly at your service with no hesitation and always with a smile. We love to eat and appreciate flavorful cuisine and we were not disappointed. We truly enjoyed every meal. There are activities & ceremonies to participate in when looking to keep busy but never pressure to sign up. A resort that provides all that the soul needs to restore - spas, pools, with the sound of the ocean, delicious cuisine & cocktails as well as morning yoga. Paulo was our bartender and we’d like to give him a special thank you. 😊

Amazing vacation. It was great experience. If you want great food and calm relaxing atmosphere it is a place for you. Amazing staff. A lot different animals on the property. Definitely we will come back.

We loved everything about this resort. We were surprised upon arrival to receive a room upgrade to an oceanfront casita! It was beautiful and we could walk right off of our patio onto the beach. The room was luxurious. We loved the rooftop infinity pool. Our butler, Israel, was very helpful arranging spa appointments and other on-site activities. Pool bartenders, Damian and Gustavo, kept the drinks flowing poolside. We really enjoyed our tequila tasting experience with David. He was very knowledgeable and engaging. The food at the resort was good - like with all restaurants, there were things we liked more and things we liked less, but good overall. We really loved the ceviche that could be ordered poolside. If we could change one thing about the Blue Diamond, we would add a feature to be able to heat the outdoor plunge pool. The water was ok during the day, but too cold for us in the evening. Something to note, the distance is long from the lobby to the beach. There are golf carts and bikes available for transport, but maybe keep in mind when choosing your room.

Great staff, property has no maintenance and upkeep.
CONS:
Lightbulbs don’t work, multiple request for replacements
Mold in shower
Butler is no show, does absolutely nothing
Daily request for water & drink refills in mini-fridge
Daily request for ice
Request for coffee refill when it was used
Bicycles have flats & no brakes
Bathtub/“Cool dip pool” in bathroom room doesn’t work, hot water knob was broken off and cold water was turned off.
Bathroom lighting is extremely dim
Toilet constantly runs & surrounding wood flooring is rotting
Skylight over sink in bathroom has old animal feces on interior wall.
Car costs-1000 meters nextdoor to Mayakoba for golf was $65 US dollars.
Furniture is uncomfortable, dirty, and old, camouflaged with covers
PROS:
Location is pretty
Food is good
Staff is always cleaning
Servers are attentive
