Pros: This place should be closed!!!! Unsanitary and criminals!
Cons: close it!!!!
Our family booked and fully paid one night stay 4 months in advance. On our arrival we were unpleasantly surprised with rude and half drunk owner who was swearing at us that we need to give them more money, blaming Expedia for wrong advertisement.
We were kept on reception for more than an hour. We were forced to pay them money since we had no other option with two small and very tiered kids. Room we got was nothing like pictures advertised on Expedia. Bathroom smelled on urine, with broken tiles and non functioning shower. I am sure not to book any more hotels thru Expedia from now on.

Cosy and friendly
Posted 6 Nov 2013 on HotelsWe were very satisfied with the room. Clean, simple and cosy. Liked the stone walls and wooden ceiling. Also a nice view towards the mountains from the window. Nothing fancy but enough for us. The only minus there was no hooks or anything for towels in the bathroom. Friendly staff and quite small and basic breakfast. Still enough for our needs. Bonus for the real and active fireplace in the reception/breakfast area. Recommend the hotel for budget travellers.

Posted 4 Sep 2013 on HotelsStayed for a week for a conference hold in Riva. I would highly recommend this hotel to the people who don't mind 30 minutes walking distance to the town center. The room is spacious and clean. The breakfast is good too.

Quiet & comfortable
Posted 11 Jul 2011Took a while for us to find the hotel- it's fairly tucked away. Only 10mins walk from the lake, but nearer half an hour from the centre of Riva itself- actually in an area called Barone. So bit of a trek from the ferry with our bags getting there, but the owner handily drove us to the bus station on check out, which was appreciated.
Having reserved a '25m2 studio room' through expedia, on arrival we were given a regular double- when I questioned this, was told the person in that room was 'sick' so was unable to leave. Hmmm. Also told the rates were all the same, so no discount for having a smaller room than booked.
After the dubious start though, the room was newly refurbished, comfortable & clean with a nice bathroom. The quiet location was appreciated for a good night's sleep. Breakfast was good. Overall, good value for money if you don't mind being a bit of a way out of town.
