A quiet but lovely two nights
Posted 7 Jul 2024 on HotelsWe stayed for two nights. The location is wonderful. It’s remote and peaceful. The restaurants were both excellent as was the breakfast. We went out to the Bivaouc cafe and that was lovely as well. We used the spa which was quite busy but otherwise really nice.

Having previously stayed at Swinton, I have never been asked to pay for the room upon arrival, usually it's payment on departure. Totally embarrassing to be asked to pay on arrival, in front of my husband (who I had treated to a stay for his 50th birthday) and a group of other guests. How to humiliate your guests and make them feel like paupers in front of everybody in one easy step. Thanks very much!

Spa is fabulous

Our room was beautiful, the grounds are great with plenty of things to do and enjoy and the food was amazing. The best part of our stay had to be the spa though, really well-appointed with lots of attention to detail. We were both super relaxed and sleepy after just a couple of hours.
