This was the highlight of my ten day visit to Italy. Karin, the host, has thought of everything. Her home is beautifully appointed, warm and welcoming. A generous continental style breakfast is offered with an assortment of meats, breads, cheeses, pastries, and even a farm fresh egg. On my first night, Karin prepared a lovely meal and made me feel like an honored guest, but it was more like what one would do for a friend. I was introduced to many people and enjoyed an Easter feast at the local trattoria with the restaurant owners' family and Karin, which was a wonderful surprise and a great afternoon.
Take note that she does have a delightful dog.
Very thoughtfully, Karin has added a plush topper to the typically rock hard Italian spring mattress and so this was only one of two places that I stayed where I did not suffer in excruciating pain every night - thank you, Karin!!! The only disappointment was that, like in many other places, the water pressure in the shower was very low. I currently have short hair but anyone with long thick hair can expect to spend some time trying to rinse the shampoo out. This is to be expected in Italy. Only a few places had great water pressure.
The village is quaint. If you are seeking a quiet getaway in an authentic country village, this is it. If you want to have many restaurants to choose from, shopping, etc., you will have to drive to Campobasso. I give this place my highest recommendation. My fondest memories are of this place.
