Great hotel near the US embassy.
6 minutes walk,
Not a tourist area. But during the day not dangerous at all.
Great breakfast. Nice roof top view. I can stay here again if l need to go to the embassy

This was an "OK" hotel. A pretty central location, more of a business hotel - not your tourist, beach hotel. It was a very "urban " hotel with all sorts of folks in the streets around it.
I never felt unsafe however. You can certainly get a feel for the "real" Rio city environment here. Having said that, the staff was excellent, the facility was nice and clean and well maintained. The breakfast could use an upgrade and more variety. There is no parking associated with the hotel, however the nearby underground lot does offer discounts to hotel guests. The price seemed a little high to me for the combined package.

Right in the center with the locals lol the staff are very polite and serviceable
