Marvel at the magnificent views of the Adriatic Riviera and Rimini’s surrounding countryside while riding this big wheel.

A bird’s-eye view from the top of the Rimini Ferris Wheel (La Routa Panoramica) is a fascinating way to appreciate the city, its coastline and countryside. Rimini Ferris Wheel is an attraction set at the entrance to Rimini Marina. Climb aboard, relax and watch as the breathtaking scenery of this Italian seaside regions unfolds.

The wheel is 180 feet (55 meters) tall and there are 28 cabins, which can accommodate a total capacity of 168 passengers. A ticket includes five rotations, which takes approximately 10 minutes. Be sure to bring your camera with you because you’ll enjoy numerous opportunities to snap envy-inducing photos.

Gaze out from the window of your cabin over the turquoise water of the Adriatic Sea. Below, beachgoers top up their tans and swim at the Spiaggia Libera beach. The views stretch along a coastline of golden sand to popular beach towns such as Cattolica and Gabicce Mare. Watch as fishing boats and stylish yachts come and go from the marina.

To the south is Rimini’s historic center. Try to spot the rooftops of centuries-old landmarks such as the Basilica Cattedrale (Tempio Malatestiano) and the Roman-era bridge called Ponte di Tiberio. Behind the city center, the green and undulating hinterland of the Province of Rimini spreads as far as the eye can see. On an exceptionally clear day it’s possible to glimpse the medieval towers of San Marino.

The wheel is open daily, except in bad weather. Check the attraction’s official website for prices. The wheel can be reached by walking for about 25 minutes from the old town. The route follows a street that runs alongside the waterfront of Rimini Port Canal. Alternatively, catch a bus to Federico Fellini Park and walk from there.

There’s a host of fun activities to do close to Rimini Ferris Wheel. Play a round of miniature golf and visit the Rimini Aquarium. Hang out at the beach, observe fishermen from the pier and dine at one of the seafront restaurants.
