"The room was great with a large king-sized bed. The breakfast was superb with ample choices. The staff was very friendly. The gym and sauna were a nice bonus as was the free drink for each day you decide to cancel room cleaning."

From outside not very promising with only glass and steel: However, breakfast quality was four stars; great cake available; good quality of bed; first time I had minibar included in the price, composed of two beer bottles, apple juice organge juice and water. "I liked the location of the hotel. Most attractions can be reached on foot from the hotel. It’s right on the Rhine too, which was lovely to look out onto every day. Breakfast and the service was excellent. Great choice of continental or cooked breakfasts. Staff on reception were always friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend."

Smoking area outside, even standing, but with wall asthray. Very good area in very short walking distance (max 250 meters) to kiosks, restaurants, bars. 4.5 km from main Cologne train station, a 10-12 euro by Uber. Great price on BB rate, and excellent value for money. Not luxury, to say this, and maybe in need to change some carpets etc and improve minor details, but spotless clean, at least the room I had and what else we saw during a night stay. It exceeded my expectations after reading the bad reviews, but maybe they had changes in management and personnel. Most glad I would book it again if I need an overnight stay in that area in Cologne (2.5 km from University Hospital of Cologne)."
