To be honest, I am one to not complain about hotels. I usually ride out the stay and move on; however, in this case I just had to write this review as awareness to travelers. To be fair, the property was clean...they are always cleaning, and their air conditioning works very well. Those are the only two good comments I have. The food is very bad and overpriced. The menu is very limited and you have to make a reservation for dinner if you wish to dine on-site. They make you go through the hassle of reserving even though 2 to 5 of the 20 tables are occupied during the evening. The staff is very rude, specially if you are a tourist. They will get upset at you and start yelling for any question you ask, almost as if you are supposed to know the answer. Getting beach towels, for example, became a monumental task of 30 minutes because the reception would tell us to go to the bar to get them, and the bar would say go to the reception. They had us going back and forth trying to get towels. All while yelling at us for asking. In the end the hotel manager and staff ended up arguing over who was supposed to handle the issuance of towels. In summary, they do not know what they are doing...do not stay here. Do not give them your money. I will flat out say that this is the worst property where I have stayed.

Love this hotel, staff is amazing. Beach is awesome and options for dinner or lunch and snacks are great. We loved our stay here and will be back again soon.

Posted 2 Sep 2016We arrived at the OldWell hotel, checked in and after 30 minutes checked out. The grounds and beach are very nice. But the condition of the rooms are atrocious. The hotel rooms seem to be original, no upgrades have been done since the hotel was built. We got in the room and there were flies buzzing around everywhere. Probably because under the doors and windows were gapping wholes. There was no safe in the room, which worried me since the thin wooden doors and windows could easily be broken with minimal effort and I didn't know what to do with our passports. The bed felt like it was 20 years old and super worn. Needless to say, after 30 minutes and an emotional breakdown due to the condition of the room, we found another place and checked out.
