"The property is located on a small street and there is almost no view of anything except the building across the street and there are way too many levels to negotiate. I was OK, but older people will find this inconvenient. The rooms are of a good size, very clean, with veranda. Not really kid safe because of open electrical outlets that kids can get into. Plenty of free parking. "

"In the small print of the description of these apartments it states that a surcharge of 50 euros will be levied for cleaning costs. I find this unusual as cleaning is normally included in a set room price. If we had stayed at the House Neza for a week the cost spread over that period would be negligible. However we stayed for two nights and left the property in almost pristine condition. Therefore the surcharge seems excessive and in fact increased the substantial enough room price by 25 euros a...

"The Gasperin is a pleasant hotel in an attractive area. The weather was cloudy and wet for most of our stay. The room we were in was on the ground floor and quite dark which might have been ok if it was sunny but it wasn’t. The area is pretty and although the hotel doesn’t offer evening meals there is a reasonable selection of places to eat nearby. The breakfast was good and the staff were helpful and friendly. The sun started to shine as we left and the lake was breathtaking. "

"The hotel is overlooking Lake Bled. Our room had spectacular views of the lake, castle, and church. The front desk staff gave us great recommendations for dinner. We took a horse drawn carriage to the castle, which the hotel had organized, and the electric boat to the church. Beautiful sights. We also ate the famous Bled Cream Cake and even to some home. We enjoyed our time at the Hotel and would recommend it to everyone."

"The hotel is overlooking Lake Bled. Our room had spectacular views of the lake, castle, and church. The front desk staff gave us great recommendations for dinner. Great location and facilities.

"Fantastic location, practically on the lake. Close to the town for dinner in the evening and eas to access and walk around. The spa is very nice and the hotel decor is fun and quirky. Room was rather small which was the only downside, glad I only had a small suitcase or it would have been a struggle for space."

"Starkl is a lovely newly renovated boutique hotel on the shore of Lake Bled. The rooms are beautifully designed, if a little small, and it was lovely to walk out of the hotel and start our walk around the lake. The restaurant is also fantastic. I do think however at their price point, they should not charge hotel guests for parking. It's only 5 euros a day but it would be a smoother experience if they just bundled it into the price. That, and the multiple emails about the additional things you can purchase at the hotel, gave the impression that profit maximisation out of guests. That's of course the point of hotels, arguably, but it felt very pointed at Starkl. "
