Hotel would be rated excellent except we found out they turn off the ac after the 23rd of Oct. We had to move after the first night.

Lovely hotel, but no air con
Posted 1 Nov 2023 on HotelsThe hotel was very clean, nicely decorated, modern and served a good breakfast each morning. However, our trip was sadly ruined because the day before we got there, the air con was turned off and the hotel said it would not be turned back on. It was still 27 degrees in the day and the nights were unbearable. My husband and I barely slept a wink for the whole week as there was no air in the hotel room. I was in the early stages of pregnancy so this made my morning sickness even worse. If we had been informed that there wouldn’t be any air con, then we would have booked a different hotel.

This was a return stay for us at the Cactus hotel. We paid for an upgrade to a Premium room on arrival and we felt it was worth it. Staff all very friendly and helpful. We were in room 526 which had a sea view and we loved watching the cruise ships from our balcony arriving/leaving port. If you want evening sunshine request a pool view room which looks over the sea too. Only slight negative was that the glass screen of the shower needs to have a door as the water tended to spray out when in use and soaked the bathroom floor but not a major problem.
Breakfast was usual buffet and you could eat on the terrace if you choose to.
Lovely quiet clean hotel which we would happily return to again.

Excellent location and property with fantastic views. We had a upper floor renovated room with amazing sea views. Breakfast was the best in all our travels.

Couple trip
