"We are repeat visitors to the RHIGA hotel in Kyoto. We love that the hotel is close to Kyoto Station but not too close. Staff are very efficient and friendly. The bell desk staff were very helpful arranging takyubin for our larger pieces of luggage to be transported to the RHIGA hotel in Osaka. "This was an APA property. The rooms were much larger than APA rooms in Akihabara, but I couldn't compare them to other hotels in the area. The rooms were clean and the bathrooms were nice. The beds were comfortable and the controls on the bed were useful. It was convenient for transportation, as there were bus routes nearby that could take you to the station or to shrines. "The Granvia is an excellent hotel if you are coming into Kyoto on the Shinkansen. It is located right in Kyoto Station and is easily walkable to get there with luggage. The hotel is beautiful and very clean. The staff were all very nice and helpful. We would definitely stay there again if we are in Kyoto."

"We enjoyed our stay immensely. We were first greeted at the door to introduce us to the no shoe policy and they cleaned the bottom of our suitcases. The onsen was very enjoyable. The beds are comfortable. The shower was great. This is a large hotel, but it never felt over crowded. "

Epitome of relaxation. The perfect ryokan

"We stayed for just one night to expierence the best this ryokan had to offer and man did it exceed all our expectations. To truly know, book one of their 4 suites. The #500 rooms. Massive rooms with authentic tatami mats, personal and private onsen that is open air facing the beautiful lake, out of this world seasonal dinner/breakfast course. The area is secluded enough to be quiet but not far from the local town. Cute and quaint souvenir shop. Oh and the bidet toilet is the best we've ever seen. Lastly, the staff is extremely accommodating, friendly, and helpful. They know english very well too. They have a shuttle that does pick up and drop off from Ogotoonsen Station so skip the taxi and call the resort when you get there. If you have cell service there is a free cell phone that you can use to call the resort. Theres also a guide of numbers for all the resorts in the area. To wrap up, book a night at this ryokan you will not regret treating yourself to a time of lavish luxury. "

"An exceptional stay from start to finish. Gracious hospitality, a true time capsule with updates in all the right places. The japanese breakfast every day was truly memorable, and the coffee shop on the property was beautiful as well. I could not recommend more, 10/10 stay, worth the price! We stayed in the private cabin and it was perfect. "

"We had a beautiful, relaxing, and very special few nights at Seryo - the property is gorgeous and spotless; the staff is friendly and accommodating; and the food was out-of-this-world! Gave attention to all the small details

"The level of attention of their customer service by the staff to me and my girlfriend was amazing and in a way, heart warming. For example, they knew we liked to face the garden while eating so they setup the table that way. Another example is, they knew I loved boiled eggs so instead of asking every morning they prepared it for me. These little small attention to details and the kindness of the staff, the wonderful food, the beautiful scenery and amazing onsen made my trip unforgettable. "
