The general manager was able to check us into a room with a refrigerator as requested.

When I got to the property it looked like a lot of shady activity was going on around the motel. Then when I went up to my room, shortly after settling in, I noticed splattered blood stains on the wall and box springs close to the headboard, and a few blackish soot (or something else) spots on the sheets. I also could hear dogs barking aggressively right outside my door and a couple staying in one of the rooms close to mine seemed like they were trying to make a drug deal. I went to the front desk and told the receptionist I didn’t feel comfortable staying there and I’d like a refund and would find another place to stay for the night. The receptionist said it was against their policy to refund if I was there longer than 30 mins. At that point, I had been there probably 40-45 mins. The best she could do is switch me to a different room. She switched me to another room down from where I was first put. It was a little cleaner but not great. So I went to bed so I could wake up as early as possible to get out of there and back on the road. It also didn’t have any amenities (the other places I stayed at similar price points had a mini fridge, microwave, and single coffee maker in the room). Definitely will NEVER stay there again, especially for just $15-20 more, I can stay somewhere I feel safe and can make a cup of coffee in the morning.
