Value for money Ravenna retreat
Posted 27 Oct 2018 on HotelsLa Basilica is good value option for a Ravenna stay since the choice of hotels within the city is not large or enticing. Our room looked across to San Vitale but in a very quiet street with no vehicle traffic.Shops,restaurants and bars are a street or two away - our favourite being Trattoria Persico around the corner.There is no breakfast on site,however,vouchers being provided for coffee and pastries at the popular pasticceria in Via Salari, and the shower/toilet etc is a wet room (which does not suit everyone)

Posted 29 Jun 2018 on HotelsLocation by Basilica San Vitale is fantastic. Breakfast at local patisserie was of very high quality. The B&B organisation was sadly lacking. Room not cleaned during the stay. The reception had no list of useful phone numbers and it took 5 minutes for the receptionist to find a taxi number. 2 out of 3 times we were given the wrong breakfast voucher and I was given a receipt that was surely not mine. The receptionist could not give any restaurant information but we found a couple of nice ones. On the other hand, the location is really great.

Posted 1 Oct 2016The bed was extremely hard and you could feel the springs on your back, hip or whatever. Otherwise the stay was delightful with a very helpful person for all our needs and an excellent breakfast.

Der Ort ist überwältigend - direkt am Weltkulturerbe. Aber man muss erst anrufen, klingeln reicht nicht, weil die Besitzer wohnen nicht am Ort, sondern schicken dann erst eine allerdings sehr nette Frau. Dusche Basilika....better is not possible

Posted 7 Oct 2018 on HotelsLa camera non era male,(anche se non funzionava la luce e ne anche la TV), ma il bagno piccolissimo, non c'era il piatto doccia, la doccia era tra il wc e il bidet, quindi quando si fa la doccia si bagna tutto il bagno praticamente.
E un B&B solo per 1 o 2 notti, non di più.
La zona molto tranquilla, a pochi metri da San Vitale.
Per la colazione non sono ancora attrezzati, ci hanno dato un buono per un bar pasticceria a pochi metri dal B&B, valido per un caffè e una brioche.
Per il check-out non c'era nessuno, sopra il mobile c'erano diversi buoni per la colazione, abbiamo controllato quale era il nostro e abbiamo lasciato le chiavi e siamo andati via.
