Located on the Bypass, the hotel is pretty isolated. Rooms are built in a motel style where you park your car in front or next to your room. Upon arrival, there is no signage where to go or park. For a resort that is called The Sun, there is hardly any daylight in the room (room 8). Room is big but cheaply furnished in a fake Moroccan style (plastic boxes, picture sticker on the bathroom door. Don't expect a minibar. There is nothing but 2 bottles of complimentary drinking water. Cheap fittings in the bathroom. One has to climb into a super high (about a metre high) bathtub to shower. With no shower curtain, the bathroom floor becomes very slippery and downright dangerous to climb out after showered. Definitely not suitable for young children or elderly. Couldn't find English TV programme. There are ants in the room too. Breakfast was disappointing. While the small buffet offered enough choices, all hot dishes were served cold as there was no heating fuel under the chafing dishes. Upon enquiry, the staff sweetly said they ran out a few days ago! The same problem with cooking gas so no omelette but just fried eggs that can be cooked on a hot plate. Upon check-out, I mentioned there was no soap in my room and was told the soap just arrived the evening before! By the way, I noticed a break-in mark on my door when I got out in the morning. Could be old but still! For almost THB 1,000 a night in Ratchburi, there are many other places that offer a better experience.

Breakfast is low quantity. The staff used the main key come to my room without knocking the door.
