Beautiful remote inn, helpful hosts, buffet continental breakfast with a wide variety of fresh and delicious items, perfectly clean and easily accessible hot tub on deck, clean and nice-sized rooms, comfortable beds, hot water shower, easy access to plug-ins for cell phones, awesome and delicious dinner. Very happy with our stay!

Great stop for those heading to Landmannalaugar
Posted 28 Aug 2018 on HotelsWe stayed here for 1 night because the shuttle pickup for Landmannalaugar was right there. The room was nice and clean. The hot tub right outside the building was an unexpected bonus. The included breakfast was good. That was really helpful because there's not much around that area. There is a restaurant on site and they serve great food.

I was expecting a location closer to the mountain with more activities available in the immediate vicinity. That probably could not be helped due to the fact that Hekla is an active volcano, but we did not have much we could do without some driving.

Thank you for sharing this with us. On our premises we can offer piece and tranquility, long walks between the birch trees on the lava field of Leirubakki and along the salmon fishing river Ranga. Many people also like to use the hot tubs and the viking pool. Most of our guests, however, take a day to visit the volcano and Landmannalaugar, either with their own car or take the bus. We hope to see you again one day.

Nice hotel close to the mountains.

Pros: Simple check-in and check-out. I was clean.
Cons: WiFi.
Descent breakfast is included with your room.
WiFi is only available in the lobby and TV room, it doesn't reach the rooms.
