"Very nice hotel overall. The rooms we had were a bit worn but still quite nice. The public areas were also very nice and in good repair. But where The Strand shined is the staff. Everyone from drive-up to drive away was so very nice. A special shout out to Zena, Thank You for everything. Overall we had a delightful stay and will stay again when we are back in Swakopmund."

"Great location directly opposite the pier. Extensive breakfast buffet. Kind, professional, friendly staff, (except for one guy whose job included wiping down outside railings and furniture, etc, who repeatedly stared inappropriately every time we were coming and going, and did not ever say hello or smile). The primary negative was having no heat in the room, as the evenings were quite chilly. We had to keep our coats on until we went to bed, which made those hours uncomfortable."
