"The hotel has an excellent location. We took the ferry from Malta and decided to stay for 2 nights. Walkable to town which has numerous shops and restaurants. The owners were great hosts even helping us with a lift to get to our rental car in Syracusa. The only unusual thing about our room was the toilet seat and cover could not be set in an up position. You had to hold it up or use your back to hold it up. Really pretty funny. Not a big deal. Breakfast was lovely and everyone around was fun. "

"The amazing host was so kind and caring. He offered to take me to the bus so I could catch it to the airport. He offered to stay and wait for me for two hours until I arrived for my late check in. He really loves the hotel and his guests and I felt so special. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants a stop over to sleep and enjoy and humble experience. They gave breakfast and coffee in the morning and again just a wonderful ambience. The rooms were cute too actually. Water pressure...

"Unique colour of building. I asked who I believe was the manager if they did food. Yes came the reply, “what time” I asked, “I don’t know, 7.00, 7.30, no - 8.00” Are there any restaurants nearby the are open at 6.30 to 7.00 - “I don’t know” Are there any in Pozzallo? - “yes, but don’t know any of them” Room was dark and unwelcoming. Facilities on offer are bettered by most guest houses and simple bed and breakfasts. Never is this a 3 star hotel - avoid - you have been warned."

"Fantastic hotel with great views of Modica below. There is a pool and beautiful patios. Breafast was included and excellent. If you are in shape, you can walk down to the center in less than 10 minutes; the walk back up is a bit harder however bur we did it several times. Otherwise, you can use your car to drive into town in a few minutes."

"Staff is extremely courteous and polite. My only small negative comment is that (for my tastes) the hotel should have tea & coffee making in the rooms. PS. I know that this is Sicily and that your coffee is either expresso or cappuccino, but at least you can provide it to when you have other Nationals staying at your marvelous hotel. "Good location, friendly staff, great breakfast. Hotel website is misleading - we booked Deluxe room but was allocated room 904 which is indicated on website as cheaper Superior room, there was no view of St Matthew hill as claimed, the room was noisy (ac/heating and next door shower) not silent as claimed. Laundry service was also not available over the Easter holiday weekend. En-suite had wc flush leak and damaged shower enclosure that were not fixed during our stay. Issues were raised but...

"Very friendly reception by owner, Piero. Large comfortable room in private home on semi rural property a few kilometers outside Modica. Amazing breakfasts with local products and home made jams and cakes. Free security parking in front of building. Very nice lounge area with sofa and TV. Piero and Giussi (sp?) were always ready to give help and suggestions for the area."

"Arrived mid afternoon and we were met by the proprietors and shown to a suite that was absolutely amazing. Created in the outbuildings the features of our room were tasteful and modern but retained all the charm of this historic building.There was no restaurant or bar area but just a short ride into town there are plenty of bars and restaurants to suit all tastes. Beds and pillows too hard. A/C never got cool enough on a hot (94F day). Needs better maintenance, dead plants on our balcony, carpet sometimes threadbare, some walls in our room needed painting,"

"Lovely old hotel with a lot of character. We were only there for one night but had a good night’s sleep. We were late to check in but there was good communication with the representative who very kindly waited for us (for a fee for late check in after 8pm). They were also very kind and allowed us to leave our suitcases at their office for the day whilst we e loved Scicli which was and chanting little town."
