Romantikhotel Seefischer am See - really romantic.
It is an absolutely fabulous place! Really romantic. We, my wife and me, arrived in a rented car from Vienna, about 350 km from there. Although we had had some troubles with our navigation that was unable to locate Fischerweg for some time, we were finally rewarded for our long trip. We got a beautiful suite comprising a large bedroom and a guest room with two LCD TVs, a large bathroom equipped with both bathtube and a shower, and a balcony giving onto a large mountain lake visited by swans, an extremely pictoresque and pacifying sight. I have to say, that the entire place, a little town or a village of Dobriach, was very calm, at least in winter, although we noticed a number of hotels around closed for the season. The service at Seefischer was of the highest quality, really friendly, and the food and drinks were exquisite. The interior decoration of the hotel which we visited shortly after the New Year eve, was admirable, especially at night! The spa utility is also worth mentioning, it is just as beautiful and friendly, featuring a number of distinct saunas, a mid-size swimming pool with an oudoor section, a hall with a fireplace, etc., all neatly decorated and offering a variety of teas and some snacks free of charge. Mountain ski slopes we visited daily were located at Katchberghohe, within a 40 km trip from there, some 40 minutes by car. The hotel has a ski shuttle, though. To conclude. I would heartily recommend this hotel to any traveller seeking tranqulity and beautiful sightseeing in the heart of good old Europe. Many thanks to the hotel stuff, it was just fab!
