Wow there are so many wonderful things to say about Holiday Inn Express and Suites Queenstown. We stayed there in May 2023 for 7 nights and here are the highlights:
* We had a corner suite on the top floor which had a panoramic window and the snow-capped mountain views from both windows was spectacular! Aside from the stunning views at all times, the room was also clean.
* The downstairs dining / lounge area near the lobby was large and great and a beautiful space! There were 2 fireplaces on either side - one had these 2 tall comfy armchairs and the other had more seating. Many of the tables had power to charge devices and you could hang in this downstairs area day or night, rather than just your room. After a long day trip to Milford Sound it was so convenient to just sit in one of the armchairs in front of the fireplace with a hot meal, watching sport.
* Our stay included buffet breakfast which was nice and the staff were friendly.
* The location of the hotel was convenient as it was a relatively short downhill walk to the centre of town and you soon got used to the uphill walk back to the hotel.
We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough! On our return back to Queenstown a week later we stayed elsewhere in a different part of town, but it just wasn't as lovely as the Holiday Inn.

Definitely one of the best hotel breakfasts ever. I tried the hotel restaurant for dinner my first evening and the baked salmon was inedible, so I didn't try any other meals there. The standard of cleanliness was high. The bed was comfortable and the room quiet, albeit surprisingly small. First time in many years (ever?) to not have a microwave in a Holiday Inn. Fitness room equipment was minimal, again a surprise in comparison with other Holiday Inns.

Clean, convenient location, bus stop out the front, washing machines and dryer conveniently located in hotel, excellent breakfast buffet.

The property was nice and clean.The staff was very supportive and helpful and the location was very convenient. Would definitely recommend.
