Overall rating is 3 due to multiple issues experienced during my stay. Location and moderate cost are primary reasons for a higher rating. Issues: The hotel does not seem well organized. First, my room was not ready at the published 3pm checkin. I actually arrived around noon, and reception kindly reiterated that check in was not til 3 pm. I was understanding as this is standard across hotels. Problem was when I returned at 3pm to check in, my room was still not ready. That was frustrating and annoying as i had patiently waited for hours, followed up, and expected hotel staff to honor the policy and be prompt. Second, day 2 i got locked out of room due to checkin error. I had to return to reception to resolve. Then I came back to a room that had not been housekept; due to be checkin error, the housekeeping staff thought the room was vacant. Third, i called reception to advise that housekeeping skipped my room, and i needed clean towels. I had to wait 2 hours for the towels. It wasn't until my 2nd follow up call that reception had apparently forgot my request. Fourth, it's a bit difficult to circumvent this in Queenstown, but the hotel sits atop a steep hill. Was not fun to have to climb the hill to the hotel, but at least it was good exercise! Major pro: hotel is less then 10 minutes from the central waterfront and social activities. Overall, the most disappointing service I've experienced in a hotel in decades.

Up and down a hill to reach town center otherwise great location. Parking unavailable as lot was full. Very difficult to find parking in immediate area they said due to New Zealand marathon weekend. No drawers or area to place luggage so no ability to unpack at this hotel

walkable location to lake and downtown. limited paid parking. lots of construction around the property so road access was confusing. the hotel was crowded with tour groups so check in & breakfast services was time consuming.

Hotel staff are very helpful and friendly. Eat in options are convenient and great quality. Hotel is an easy walk into town where you can explore queenstown and experience the wilderness. There is a local bus stop just around the corner making it easy to access the airport and other towns such as Arrowtown. Hotel is very clean with every modern convenience you can think off.

Good view of the mountain and gondola, easy walk to waterfront and shops. Breakfast is basic and could include more egg options like omelettes and better coffee
