An old house turned into a boutique hotel. Staff attentive and polite, right across the Fairmont and just a few blocks from the Quebec epicenter. Can’t give all the stars I would like when rooms are not well cleaned (you can step into debris when you walk barefoot inside your room). You need to place a “service” sign in your room door if you want it serviced, if you forget, they won’t do it. Staff will leave after 8 pm and you are on your own. Parking is around the block and not connected to the property which is not convenient and there is no elevator, meaning that if you are not on the first floor, you will have to carry all your luggage 2 or 3 floors up, so plan accordingly. For $375 tax & fees we were expecting more.

Dear Alenai,Thank you for your stay and your comment. We are delighted that you enjoyed the quality of our welcome. We're disappointed about the rest of the rating. We must clarify a few things indicated on our website and on-site for our future guests.Parking is on the hotel grounds, outside. Access is along the side of the hotel, about fifteen meters. We don't have an elevator, as the house is 150 years old and not designed for one (it has only two floors).Reception is open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.; an application and emergency number are available outside these hours.Housework is done every day on request at no extra charge. Why on request? Because many of our customers, aware of our commitment to more sustainable tourism, no longer want us to clean their rooms daily.Regarding the debris you mentioned, we ask our guests (in winter) not to enter the rooms with their shoes on, as our century-old wooden floors don't like snow or salt. You didn't follow this recommendation, so even though we vacuumed every day we did your room, some gravel and salt remained. That's why we provide our customers with trays.Nothing is too severe, but we like things to be unambiguous ;-)Best regards

Madam,Thank you for your comment, which in no way reflects your experience at the hotel but only your frustration at having to pay for the damage and uncleanliness you left there.Learn to behave with dignity, and then you can teach hoteliers.Never to see you again.

This property is located in Old Town Quebec. It’s within walking distance to numerous restaurants and shops. The room and bathroom are somewhat small but well appointed. There’s no coffee or fridge in the room but coffee and a continental breakfast (separate charge) was available. The hotel did provide a small fridge to our friends who needed to store medication. The staff were wonderful and helpful. We would stay there again.

Hello Deborah,Thank you for your stay and your comment. We want to clarify a few things for our future travelers and your next stay.We have 6 types of rooms, with sizes ranging from 130 ft2 to 550 ft2. This gives everyone a choice according to their budget to stay with us.As part of our commitment to responsible, sustainable tourism, we have decided to stop systematically equipping all rooms with refrigerators. Although refrigerators are only used in 5% of rentals, they consume 50% of a room's energy. For those who wish, we provide mini-fridges, which our staff can install without any major handling and are readily available for a few dollars.Nespresso coffee machines are available in all suites; for other rooms, we have a Nespresso machine available free of charge in the hotel lobby. We hope these explanations will be helpful for your future stay with us. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to welcoming you again.Best regards

Fantastic service from the good people at the Nomad Hotel. They even encouraged me as I attempted my high school French. The hotel has old-world charm and is tastefully updated. Our room was incredibly clean, and surprisingly quiet despite being on the ground floor. The location was great for being able to access all that Old Quebec has to offer. Thanks for such a great stay.
