"This hotel may not be flashy, but it gets the important things absolutely right. It's clean, comfortable, and the staff went out of their way to make our stay easy—even arranging a smooth check-in after midnight when we were delayed. Noise was minimal during our stay (just the occasional footsteps from above), and the overall atmosphere was peaceful. If you're looking for a friendly, affordable place to rest while you explore Vancouver Island, this is it. We'd happily stay here again."

"We scored an AMAZING price on Hotels.Com for this property. We stayed 3 nights in Room 325 which was a King Loft room - it was HUGE - with a queen pullout sofa on the main floor and king bed upstairs. Two balconies with view of the ocean and pool area. Room was very dated although the bathroom was updated. Had a kitchen (but no cutlery, no dish cloths, no dish soap, no microwave and fridge did not have a freezer). Room not Air Conditioned so upstairs is very warm but we opened the balcony doors (was 21c when we were there in June) and it cooled off pretty well. They have fans all over the room so that helped. Breakfast was included (pleasant surprise) - it was a do it yourself with muffins, yogurt, juice boxes, tea, coffee, apples and granola bars. One day it was only granola bars and juice but for what we paid it was still great. The grounds are huge and the main hotel is on the water so you can watch the seals and eagles play and the cruise ships go by. I think they are doing some renos too so should only get better. Nice place - recommended!"
