Upgraded to a cabin… wahoo! No heat. Boo!

Hi Karen, We are so sorry you didn't have heat in the cabin.As soon as we received your review, we sent maintenance to check it out straight away and we found no problems with the heating, and we have had a few guests stay in that cabin since you checked out and again, no issues. Sometimes in our newer units such as the one you stayed in, the thermostat may be a little difficult for some people to work. The cabin you stayed in has a very nice fireplace too, which you could have used!If we were made aware of this, we would have been more than happy to show you how to work it!Again, we are very sorry you didn't have the best experience but we hope you will give us a second chance so you can fully enjoy the cabin.All the best,

The cabin was well maintained and all the needs of our family. The beds were comfy.

Staff were lovely, however…waterslide/pool was closed, bathroom fan broken and actually fell down revealing black mold, and the kitchenette suite was without running water for hours.
I emailed management twice after our stay to give feedback and never heard back.

However, we’d like to clarify a few points regarding your concerns:Pools and Waterslides: Our pools and waterslides are seasonal and are closed during cooler weather to ensure the safety and comfort of our guests. While we strive to keep our third-party booking platforms updated with this information, it’s also clearly stated on our website. We understand how disappointing it must have been for your family, but we recommend checking directly with the resort for such details when booking through external platforms.Water Outage: The temporary water outage was due to necessary maintenance by the Regional District of Nanaimo, and unfortunately, it was outside of our control. We notified our guests as soon as we were informed, and we regret any inconvenience this caused during your stay.Bathroom Fan and Mold Concern: We have thoroughly inspected the suite following your stay and can confirm that what you saw was accumulated dust, not black mold. Our maintenance team has already addressed this issue, and we have replaced the fan to ensure the room is in top condition for future guests.We appreciate your feedback and want to assure you that we take guest satisfaction very seriously. Our goal is to provide a memorable and enjoyable experience for every guest, and while your stay may not have met your expectations this time, we hope you will consider visiting us again.Thank you,
