"The room was clean and the staff were very couteous. The location was good. The ground floor entrance to the hotel was awful and very off-putting. But once you reached the first floor entrance it was fine."

"Once in the lobby it is very impressive. It appears that the driving ramp to the lobby level is under renovation so one has to enter one floor below which is not impressive. Staff and services are high quality. We did not go to any of the restaurants in the hotel. Zaza restaurant across the street on the banks of the Nile had great food."

"The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. The room was clean and newly renovated, housekeeping cleaned promptly when requested and they were more than happy to provide extra towels upon request. The breakfast was always yummy and freshly prepared. Given the location of the hotel, the sound wasn’t too bad. Cairo is a loud city so if you need silence to sleep, being ear plugs. Or maybe Cairo isn’t the city for you. I’m glad we stayed downtown as we really got to experience Cairo and not just the tourist curated sections like the Mena house, pyramids, or GEM (although those places are still worth the visit). If I have the opportunity to come back to Egypt I would definitely stay again. "
