Meander through the Great Maze that wraps around the building. Cross over and under bridges and take wrong turns until you discover that you are back where you started. Complete the mission of discovering the four corner towers before you exit. The maze takes 30 to 60 minutes and has emergency doors if you want to make a quick escape.
Walk through the Hall of Following Faces where the 3-D portraits of famous people seem to follow you with their eyes. The park’s creator, Stuart Landsborough, designed this exhibit to provide a uniquely eerie experience.
Enter the Ames Room where size and space appear distorted and people seem to shrink or grow with every step. Try to keep your balance as you walk through the nearby Tilted House. You might find yourself wondering which way is up and which way is down. Use the exit doors throughout this exhibit if you begin to feel dizzy.
Be amazed by the Sculptillusion Gallery filled with giant artistic sculptures that create amazing visual tricks. Next door experience the wonder of Hologram Hall to see 3-D holograms of famous people and historical events.
Relax in the on-site café that offers a range of seasonal food and drinks. The tables are covered in puzzles and games, making the meal fun for children and adults alike.
Discover the free attractions in the area outside the park. Take a fun photo at the Leaning Tower of Wanaka that balances on an amazing 53-degree angle. Visit the Roman Toilets and marvel at the odd perspectives created by the historically themed murals.
The park is located about 3 kilometres (2 miles) from the centre of the town of Wanaka and has an on-site car park. Check opening hours ahead of time and purchase tickets on arrival. Prices are reduced for children.
