My wife & I just returned from our 25th anniversary vacation at The Majestic Mirage in Punta Cana. The property was beautiful, all interactions with the staff were friendly with us and each other, and the weather was delightfully warm.

I had high hopes for this resort, but it was a disappointing experience. Despite completing check-in before arrival, it was ignored, and we were given a poorly located room after other later-arriving guests were checked in first. The room smelled strange, had damaged furniture, and felt outdated. After waiting over an hour for a change, we got another subpar room with lingering odors and signs of neglect. The bed linens were damp, and I found hairs and skin flakes, which was unsettling. Beach towels and sheets had holes, and basic items like bathrobes and towels had to be collected from housekeeping carts. The pool area had gnats, exhaust fumes from nearby trucks, and a recurring sewer smell. Requests for sunbed curtains went unanswered, and amenities like clean towels were often unavailable. The food was another letdown—usually lukewarm or cold, except for the lobster risotto at the French restaurant. My partner and I suffered food poisoning and spent a day in bed. While the room’s size was its only positive, the poor hygiene, lack of service, and disappointing food made this stay unpleasant. Significant improvements in cleanliness, service, and food quality are needed before I could recommend this resort.

This is my 2nd stay in two years. Based on recommend from family. Was sort of dissapointed with some areas of their usual efficiency. For example, I never saw or met my butler. Noticed that inspite of the hassel to get reservation at the French restaurant, it was practically empty when we were there having our dinner...which was not as great as I recall in 2023. Overall experience was good. Not sure I will continue to recommend to friends and family.

Spacious 1 bedroom/2 toilet/1 shower suite with weird bathtub placing in the bedroom outside the shower. Extremely uncomfortable memory foam mattress. Toilet tanks constantly running/leaking, but nobody cares. Noisy HVAC fan with no way to turn off. Minor issues (missing hangers and chairs, worn out pillows) were taken care of after complaints. Service in the restaurants and Main Buffet is unacceptable. You have to ask several times and several employees to get drinks. One time at the buffet we were completely ignored and never got drinks. A-la-carte restaurants are plain bad. If they can't upsell you expensive optional wine, they completely forget about you. Hostesses there are unfriendly, almost at the edge of rude. Main Buffet is best option both for food variety and quality. Entertainment went down dramatically. Ordinary short night shows. Not those creative, interactive and funny shows, like it was 7 years ago. And they don't understand that louder is not always better. Overloading amplifiers and speakers cause distortion. Microphone sound is dull. A lot of echoing caused by the audio-incorrect theater roof design makes it even worse. Beach is Clean. Soft sand, also in the water. Not enough tiki huts and other shade. Not enough beach chairs. Most are "reserved" from early morning. Overall, Majestic resorts went down in quality. And there is no reason to overpay for Mirage over Elegance, unless you need 2 toilets in the suite.

What I loved most was all the activities on the beach and your 2 AMAZINIG CROWD PLEASERS ... Ashley and Kenny!! What I didn't like was the first butler (Enrique) who not only took us to the wrong room, but also had us wait almost 2 hrs for the correct suite that another butler (Miguel) assisted with. I also wanted to say "THANK YOU" to Isidro for helping us obtain everything that was needed.
