Not worth a 4-star!!
Posted 13 Apr 2013 on HotelsThe hotel is in a sorry state. There were barely 2 or 3 customers. Even then the service was not upto satisfaction. No promptness was noticed in any activity. Room condition was strictly okay. I had booked a Deluxe room which had been promised a free wifi, a bath-tub with a hand held shower and free movies. But all were false promises. A basic amenity such as a normal DTH connection was also not working. Had to watch TV with the ancient analogue signal. This is just one incident. Rest all are unwanted memories. No more such required in future.

Close to the airport and Classy
Posted 20 Feb 2012
Pros: Elegant dining room, great food, lovely decor, close to the airport.
Cons: Difficulty with WIFI in the room.
Location: Seemed to be mostly international businesses, reportedly not far from some of Pune's sightseeing. We did not explore.
The best thing for us about the Mapple Adhwryou Pune in Deceber 2011 was its proximity (about 10-15 minutes) to the airport with free shuttle. We had a very early flight the next day, and this worked very well.
The best feature for many people might be the elegant dining room, with high class and high quality food, fancy drinks, and reportedly great entertainment, but we went to sleep. (We are also over 65.)
The hotel seemed prepared for international business travelers with high expectations: lovely, elegant room furnishing, light fixtures, bathrooms, decor, etc.
WIFI was promised in the guest room, but we never did get our computer's internet to work in the room; this was a common problem for us this year in India, (traveling with a MAC from US). Desk staff had never known any computer not to work in the guest rooms, but the manager was not phased: he let us use his computer for hours.
Overall, a good experience.

Not so great hotel
Posted 25 Jul 2011Generally clean, and tidy, but expensive for the neighborhood. The location is fairly far away from main hustle of the city and yet they were relatively pricy.
The restaurant was very expensive.
They had decent service but they charged for several extras. We had two children and they charged extra money for them as well.
The breakfast was good and quite varied.
So all in all decent hotel, but pricy for where it was.
