Posted 15 Sep 2024 on HotelsThe bathroom needs updating and when we moved furniture, there was enormous amounts of dust everywhere. Breakfast was good even though they don’t offer a cooked breakfast. Not sure the manager should sit in bar next to guests. Bit uncomfortable. Should be behind the bar or elsewhere in hotel

A minor disappointment this time round.
Posted 5 Sep 2024 on HotelsDisappointed in our overall presentation in our room. The hotel had very nicely upholstered furniture but the sofa in our room was unsuitable and quite tatty. It felt unfinished.
We couldn't rely on an evening meal bring available as the hotel cater for outside functions. We have stayed here before and our experience then was better than this stay.
The hotels position for touring is ideal

This is a wonderful old hotel with lovely old beams and lots of nooks and crannies, room was great, staff were great and food was great.
An ideal base for Arundel and the South Downs.
