This place was AMAZING! The couple that owns and hosts were so kind and sweet! I loved the little pool which was right at the waterfront ❤️ it’s quiet and peaceful and was the perfect get away. I got up early each morning to surf, dive, explore and got to enjoy gorgeous sunrises and would make it back just in time to enjoy the sunset! I’ll definitely be back here on my next visit ☀️

We gave this 5 stars because the location and amenities fit us perfectly and it was exactly what we needed. We stayed for 4 glorious restful days. Victor, our host, was very careful about giving us our privacy yet extremely helpful with setting up with anything we needed. Henrique, his helper was also very helpful. Victor even arranged for us to receive a coconut (each) and Henrique opened them right in front of us. The juice was delicious and so was the meat. I didn’t know coconut meat could be so soft and easy to access. The bungalow was immaculately clean. Our huge freshwater tub was cleaned and filled upon our arrival and was very refreshing in hot weather as well as after a long swim in the lagoon and outdoor shower. There were stores nearby where we bought supplies for meals and a galley kitchen with stove, cooking plates and small fridge. Everything we needed after a 30 hour transit time from home. It was so nice to sleep with open windows and doors overlooking Victor’s beautiful garden and the lagoon. Even the rain was pleasant as we could sit out on the porch. The continuous breeze wafted with the enticing smell of tiare and plumbago flowers early morning and evening. The small fish pond was full of fish and a beautiful place to sit and think or meditate. We were entertained for hours watching the antics of the birds. I have to add that Victor’s wife was also very welcoming and helpful. She even sent Victor to us in the rain with blankets in case we got cold!

The remoteness of this property is what we loved the most. Listening to the waves and nature sounds. The hosts are incredible and they are Tahitian! Its always great to know that we are giving back to the caregivers of original lands and their source of income. We would definitely return here. Its a place that is filled with aroha.

Accommodation was dated but OK for a stay of one night. It is not suitable for kids as there is no beach and the ocean begins immediately at a depth of ten to twelve feet.
Called home by our government due to the coronavirus

Hello
Your comment is not the honor of Canadians: you hide behind the anonymity Mr. Michael MACKINNON
Your disappointment does not concern our establishment which you consider correct. You have noticed that we are undertaking renovations.
You were not accompanied by children. Most children who come to our establishment already know how to swim at the age of 3 years. The little ones can swim in personal pools with adjustable depth. Our guesthouse is not infected with the corona virus as you imply. A little dignity in your writing ‘please Sir.
During your stay, there were only 2 cases in our country from France and the USA; to our knowledge, it was not Polynesia that generated this virus.
Your comment will not reach our guesthouse as most of the hosts who have stayed have been delighted. It was your case when you left our hotel. There is no doubt that your disappointment was motivated by your government’s reminder to immediately join Canada as you claimed. I am not concerned by this case which cannot influence the standing of our hotel.
God bless you and spare you from the corona virus
cordially

You see, that’s the thing of it. In the formulaic responses I can’t give it superlatives yet I would rather stay here than the Manava Resort. It is delightfully charming and comfortable. It’s the kind of place where I could hang out the whole day and feel I’ve had a full one. We snorkeled inside and outside the reef, paddled about in the kayaks Victor provides and watched whales breaching just beyond the reef. I have to be careful not to wax too elegaic lest I won’t be able to find a place there next time I come to Tahiti.
